Because that's how religion tries to control people.
All religion was invented for was to mind control people through fear and the need to be part of something.
All religions should be outlawwed because they really are bull!!!
All they do is cause war and conflict, there is no need for them to exist because there is no gods, we are just one of billions of other species in the universe.
We are only the top of the food chain on our planet but we're most likely a very inferior species compared to other lifeforms on other planets.
People use religion as a comfort blanket, same as they hope there'll be an afterlife but do you think we had an afterlife when we were bacteria crawling out of the primordial swamps?
A mean come on people get real and stop being brain washed!
Do what you want, be free and most importantly be you, not what religion/society wants you to be!

Yeah, it makes so many people happy. As long as its not anything like kiddy porn or that one where they crush mice and other little things and also not snuff films then I don't think its sinful as long as its all consensual.

I'm not a Christian but I still think my view is right. And for the Christians: let's just call the creation and viewing of porn free will (I know how much you all like saying that). If the person thinks they can get away with it without burning in the firey lake of Satan's swimming pool then let them. Can't make everyone believe what you do.

Pornography is sinful because when you engage in this activity you are actually collaborating with the demonic nature, with phallic, sphincter and vaginal spirits that are actually participating in the sexual pleasure along side and within you. I was trying to figure out this answer as well, and here is what I found. Some where in the Old testament(sorry I am not more specific,) it mentions that lusting after women is considered Adultery. Since you are lusting when you view porn, then you are being adulteress in the eyes of God, and therefore sinning.

My friend it is quite a simple answer really. When 'someone' looks at pornograpy it changes it causes a sensation of lust in the persons heart who is watching it. From this it often leads to masturbation. The problem with this is that it teaches the pornography watcher how to use people. Moreover it teaches the person to believe in instant gratification. Furthermore it teaches the person to believe in delusion rather then in Truth. Consequently when someone settles down then they often will try and compare their wife or husband to the porn model.

I will expalin more... Human beings are visual creatures when we watch pornography and naked beings doing sexual acts it stimulates us. Now watching such images and listhening to seual sounds causes us to look at our fellow human beings with lust. Before my friend you may have looked at your friend 'Julie' with an eye of affection or attraction. Yet when you start watching 'Julie' now your body and mind has been trained like a dog now to see 'Julie' as an object of your desire. It now becomes harder for you to treat 'Julie' with the respect she deserves as Lust now governs your being. You become in essence a slave of lust.

In one of the last interviews of Ted Bundy a serial rapist and murderer someone asked him what was it that caused him his downfall. He replied to the interviewer it was pornography. He said when he was a teenager he started off watching soft porn pornography. This seed of Lust led him on to become one of the biggest serial rapists and murderers the USA had ever seen. Ted Bundy further added that many of the people in prison were equally affected by pornography especiallly those incarcerated in prison for sex crimes.

A man who watches pornography remains a boy and does not become a man. Love is patient, love is kind. If all you ever know is to gratify your senses when ever you want like a little child demanding chocolate off his mother then you will never become a man. A true man is patient and kind and is not governed by lust he treats a woman as a whole person who should be loved mind, body and soul. She is loved in a more perfect and loving way and hence is loved and respected in a greater manner than a man trained in lust and instant gratification like a dog.
