On my digital camera, it says it has a maximum of 4 seconds shutter speed, when I put on night mode it its only 1/4 of a second. How do I set it to reach its full potential of 4 seconds?
Its a finepix v10 mainly autpmatic camera

Switch it off 'program mode' (which is where you have it if you are trying to use 'night mode') and switch to 'shutter priority' (or manual, if that option is available) which will enable you to use the full range of shutter speeds. And, oh yes. Read the instruction manual.

Go to "Program" mode and see if there is a way to adjust the speed of the camera manually. If so, you can set the speed manually to 4 secs.

Vice versa, you can also increase the speed to whatever you need.
