hi, I decided to buy a HD TV for my new ps3 but i'm not sure which brand is better base on technical aspects, so i'd appreciate any technical advice

Look for 1080P. That is about the only recomendation I would say because I have seen a 40 inch wetinghouse hooked up to a computer display in 1080p and a Sony hooked up and they looked pretty much the same. The sony cost about twice as much.
If price is no concern go with the Sony XBR 2 or 3 or a 1080p Samsung. Samsung will be less

Buy a samsung LCD 1080p tv, Samsungs have the highest contrast and with the new ps3's having a blu ray player, you will get the best quality with a 1080p so you get the best for your money out of the tv and the game set.
