Sure it is, that is what parents do, teach their children all they believe is good.
Now, following that I think most of us have to resolve our beliefs and philosophies for ourselves. Some will be strengthened in the belief of what they were taught and some will search, while confused for many years. Then, for some a belief will finally become clear, for some this won't happen.

As I think about it, I guess it's kind of like our judicial system. There is no proof either way. The evidence is all circumstancial. I was raised in a Christian home, but completely rejected the Christian faith.
I believed in God because of what I see as overwhelming evidence all around us regarding his existance. But I hated him.
If Yahoo answers had been around then, I would have put these God-haters who post on here to shame with comments and cracks about how awful God is, because I had so much Biblical information force fed to me while growing up.
I try to ignore them now because I remember feeling like they do. Their pain is real.
Then one day (here's the best supernatural experience) as I was being counselled by a pastor for my marriage (because he was free and my parents wouldn't let me move home until I did), I was battling every suggestion he mentioned, and refuting him scripture for scripture.
Then he quoted that scripture in Matthew where Jesus said, "No one can serve two masters." One little verse. I shut up. The light of understanding flooded into my spirit, and I finally understood.
We either serve the Good Master or the Evil Master. Evil doesn't reveal himself as evil, he is way to clever for that. He uses the cover of "self" and "entitlement" and "I can't help it."
The Good Master holds us to the truth within us and won't allow anything less. He loves us. He wants the best for us.
There has been at least one other supernatural event happen to me, and it was pretty astounding, but nothing could ever compare to the change that took place in me the day I understood the true meaning of the love of God.
Are my parents and I both believers of the Christian faith now? Yes.
Was my parent's faith passed on to me? No. God gave me my own.

Good question. I'll try to refrain from bible quotes.
There had to be an intelligent design. You cannot take something from nothing and make it better.
What sparked life into existence? Where did all the material that makes the universe come from? Where is the talking ape? How can something as complex as the human body, let alone one single cell, just evolve and keep getting better with time?
It takes much more faith to believe we have no creator.
Our small brain can't comprehend how great God really is.

If some one was to question the existence of God, I would say it depends on ones faith. Personally I believe in God and he has never failed me. Its come with the power of prayer. I once had this lousy job as a single parent and I prayed, believe it or not I got the answer within a short time. Faith is the key word.

You know I've always been annoyed when I ask other more traditional Christians how they know God exists, and they always told me "I have faith". As a Gnostic, I need to KNOW. This is very frustrating. But, I do believe there is a God, but I am not presumptious enough to say that I KNOW anything about this being. And I won't say that I am right in believing in God. All I know is that it feels right. That is why I don't have very many other Christian friends, because I am not their definition of what a Christian should be. But, oh well. All I can tell you is to go with what feels right to you. If you don't feel that it is right for you to believe in God, than you are an Athiest, and that is who you are and what you are comfortable with. Who is anyone to judge? (And visa-versa)

How embarrassing for you. i am going to provide you with a C for attempt, besides. Theism: is a conception that God or gods exist. Atheism: is a conception that no God or gods exist. So, the same is real for atheists. If atheists tell human beings God truly doesn't exist then they're telling a large LIE, and, for this reason, are immoral. perchance you need many years earlier you try again with out harming your self.

That is only one way to prove the existence of God. Detecting the God with your heart or your naked eyes. But only when your heart is in the purest form because only spirit would be able to detect the invisible.

My Grandad was diagnosed with cancer so I moved back to Durham and rented a house next door to my mum. He died on 2nd Sept 2001. On Sept 11 2001 my mum called me into her house to watch what was happening on the tv. That night she started to cry and said that she felt like she was on a mission from God. She has never been religious, non of us had, so this was very unusual. In November my friend and I went out in Newcastle to celebrate my birthday. A guy came up to me in a nightclub and said that he had been looking for me for so long and when he eventually found me, I came running at him so fast, that I nearly knocked him over. I hadnt actually done this, so it was unusual for him to have said it. I forgot all about what he said and we all got on with having a great night, my friend and I and him and his friends. At the end of the night they invited us to their house. We went and as soon as we walked in, everything went really wierd. Nothing bad, just like a change in something. There was a young lad sat on the sofa and when I looked into his eyes I heard my grandad say hello, inside my head. You can imagine how freaky that was!! I looked at this lad and inside my own head I said,"If your really my grandad, where are your slippers", the lad replied, in a normal speaking manner, "they are under your dressing table where you put them,". They were, I took them from the hospital after he died. The lad I met in the nightclub then proceeded to tell me that it wasnt my mums mission it was mine and that I am on a mission from God. This is how I know that God exists and I have spent the last 5 years watching in absolute amazement and wonder because of the lifechanging event I witnessed that night and because of everything I now know.

It's called "Faith"...
I'm a fallible human sinner - and, as such, unqualified to "judge" anyone or anything - least of all God...
i.e., I don't need to "know" anything - just so long as I believe in God and He tells me it is so... then I trust Him...!

Let me see.....
I have seen other peoples dreams and have told them with great accuracy what is going on in their lives that they did not think that I knew.......
and I tell you, I am no psychic......
it was something I experienced when I was in my late teens that brought me to this understanding.......
and I tell you, I have no familiar spirits........
What I know is as natural as rain.... as fulfilling as a sneeze.... and as warm as a setting sun...... but it is not supernatural.....
In all of us exists the ability to reason... and all of us have this ability that differs from each other...... What we believe of it determines how fulfilling that ability is to use it to its absolute potential........
That ability within us causes our whole body to be alive.... without its presence everything within us dies...... it seats itself at the pinnacle of our bodies and we live it without moving our mouth..... scream and not be heard..... that reasoning is the image of God..... no one sees it, just like no one can hear us scream inside ourselves and know our hearts intent......
But, it has a day coming.... where it will be open.......
and I know it as judgement......
But, that which is within.... Is true..... and I have seen it in others....

Ginger
