Good point really, what about Mary also? It goes to show though, even if he didn't write anything, that there are many other writing's that were lost, destroyed, and excluded from the Bible that are very credible.

I assume you are talking about Joseph, the husband of Mary. The Bible records some of the things he did, but not one word of what he said. The last time we see him in Scripture is when Joseph and Mary took the boy Jesus, who was twelve at the time, to Jerusalem at the feast of the Passover, and He stayed behind and they did not know it. They found Him three days later in the temple, talking with the teachers.
When Jesus was being crucified on the cross, He spoke to the disciple John and to His mother. To His mother He said, "Woman, behold your Son." And to John He said, "Behold you mother." The Bible tells us that from that hour, John took her into his own household.
Put the two events together and a picture emerges. Some time between when Jesus was twelve and went to the temple, and when His public ministry began at about the age of 30, Joseph died. When Jesus was alive, He must have seen to it, that His mother who was a widow, was taken care of. But now that He was being crucified, and as yet His brothers did not believe, He asked John to look after His mother. And John did so.
This is why we see so little of Joseph, because Joseph died before Jesus' public ministry began. Also, Joseph's death at a relatively young age, made it easier to avoid confusion when Jesus talked about His Father. When He did so, He was speaking of His heavenly Father, not Joseph.

Hi, There are quite a few people invloved in the life of Jesus of whom little or nothing is mentioned and this is because the Gospel writers decided that Jesus must be the central figure and His life and ministry must be given absolute priority, Joseph was considered of much less important to the message of Christ and so there would be little point in documenting his minor role.

Joseph appears in the book of Genesis, which is the earliest book of the bible. The words may have been forgotten or erased by time and generations.

Joseph is written in Scripture... Kinda hard to hear you mention it if he wasn't.....
Here's the thing.....
He was to marry the woman named Mary. But, when he found out that she was with child, he almost didn't. So, he refused to marry her. That is, until an angel of the Lord told him that the Spirit of the Lord had given her the promised child king that was told them would come. He reluctantly married her, but he did and had other sons and daughters with her.
You will find this story in the 1st chaper of the book of Matthew and also in the 2nd.....
your sister,
Ginger

The bible has something very important to say about Joseph, and he though dead now all these long years speaks. In telling us about Joseph the bible says that an angel appeared to him in a dream.
This is what the bible has to say about Joseph's dream in Matthew 1:20-23. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
In being told of Joseph we are informed that this miraculous occurance is the fulfillment of prophecy written in the bible 700 years before. This is in essence the substance of biblical prophecy in effect to this very day. God in his wisdom chose prophecy to tell us about our savior, Jesus Christ, and Joseph's story increases our understanding of God, our savior.
