Many Catholic churches do. I think they do it to please the people.
The Bible says the love of money is the root of all evil. It doesn't say you can't be rich, it says that you shouldn't trust in those riches over God.

the bible says Jesus gave up his wealth and grew to be deficient. whilst did that occur? certainly jesus used to be no longer continually deficient. however he fed the deficient along with his riches till he ran out of cash after which the miracle of feeding the hundreds occurred. In the LDS church it was that Young adults most commonly had weekly dances or via the month. however in relation to poverty, they make the culture of fasting 2 foods a month on at some point and donating the equivelant of the foods to charity. Others do extra most commonly than that. for essentially the most facet i suppose Lds are at the cut down finish of the core sales than such a lot. in the united states.

The sin of money is not to have it, it is not being able to let it go. There is no sin in acquring money honestly, and no sin in keeping it confidently, but to hold onto it at the expense of all else is to be dragged down by it, and that is the 'sin' or error.

Why does Jesus bless the old woman who gives the smallest donation: because, despite her poverty, she does not let the money make her decisions, she makes the decisions and her money follows her.
