When I unistall the acrobat reader the word documents can be read. When I install acrobat again the document can not be read unless i specify by right click on the file then say open with word. I want the word document to open when i double click on it.

richt click on the word document
click "Open With..."
select Microsoft Word from the list and select "always open this file type with this program"
click ok
eat
drink
and be merry

Open windows explorer, choose Tools-Folder options-File Types-find doc and choose open with.
