The word was created by a guy with the name of Donald Fox, way back in 1907. Of coarse long before computers. This guy was very intelligent and constantly tried to increase his general knowledge. This resulted in him reading ever thing he could lay his hands on, studying whatever came around and eventually he was very much clued-up. The story goes that he became a walking encyclopedia and more and more people asked him for advice on everything thinkable. This was at a time when very few cars were on the road, and people walked on foot and used their horses. As Donald walked down the road, people would try to get his attention by screaming "yahoo, Donald....etc". This is where the word came from. This is based on true facts. I think.
