Unless your kids are a few chromosomes short of a full deck or something, they will figure it out on their own soon enough.
You might still need to tell them about God and Jesus and angels and heaven though, some grownups still believe that crap.

no, dont smash it 4 them that youthful, wait until they hit puberty, and alter into ignorant adolescents, they wont even care. If u tell then now, ur gonna smash they are little hearts and have self assurance it or no longer, they are gonna be traumatized 4 existence. they're going to look lower back in this whilst they are older and be dissapointed. i found out whilst i substitute into 11, i'm 15 now. whilst i substitute into 11, I hit puberty quite frustrating and started questioning 4 myself and alter into questioning " is santa clause even genuine", reason i've got in no way seen him b4, different than in pretend youtube vids. What I did substitute into, stayed up all night interior the front room the place the Christmas tree substitute into up on sugar cookies and warm chocolate, and santa didnt come. and that i substitute into dissapointed yet I new he wasnt genuine besides by using fact I observed my mothers and fathers placed each and every of the delivers decrease than the Christmas tree on Christmas eve, so the two i substitute into an exceedingly undesirable lady that year, which i substitute into, or Santas no longer genuine. purely enable them to make certain the real certainty on there very own. There gonna do it besides. stable success, wish this helped, dont tell them yet :)

My girls are 14, 15 and 19. I never told them a thing and Santa still leaves gifts for them. Their motto is "If you stop believing you stop receiving". Keep the magic alive as long as possible!! I know they don't really believe but it still makes Christmas a little more magical.
BTW I do change my handwriting!

I don't believe in lying to kids to begin with, when i have my kids, i will make sure i let them know that santa doesn't exist, so if i were you i would let my child know as soon as possible! Besides why should santa get all the credit?

The basis of your question is flawed. A child should never be told that Santa Claus doesn't exist because he does. My little sister's 20 now and tries to get me to admit that he's not real; it's not gonna happen. Even when the kids are like, "C'mon! Santa's not real!", you have to stand your ground. Never admit that Santa's not real.

Let kids be kids, besides the other kids around them will be the ones to tell them, why would an adult want to tell them Santa doesn't exist?

don't exactly tell them there is NO Santa Clause, just say once you turn ___age___, Santa thinks you are old enough so he doesn't give you presents anymore, but you will always be a good child to him, or whatever excuses that won't hurt his feelings.

WHAT, I AM 46 AND STILL BELIEVE IN SANTA. WHAT DO YOU MEAN. ARE YOU SAYING THERE IS NO SANTA. BOO HOO BOO HOO
Let them believe as long as they can. Childhood is so short these days. They are smart they will figure it out on there own. My brother told me and I cried for two days. LOL

Let kids be kids as long as possible, so let the dream live as long as you can get away with it. They will eventually figure it out on their own, but the charade can go on forever. I am 34, and still get presents in my stocking if I am home for Christmas.
