A lot of people misdefine the word. A nymphomaniac is a woman who compulsively and excessively engages in sex/sex acts and does not achieve emotional or sexual satisfaction.
"Nymphomaniac" is now an outdated psychological term, an old concept that was replaced by "Hypersexuality Disorder"
