Welcome to the sleepless club, I have suffered for years with insomnia, I went to see my doctor who helped me look at reasons why I was not sleeping. Too much coffee, other food stimulants that keep me awake, not enough physical exercise, getting into a sleep routine. Unfortunately none of the above applied to me so it is not something you can just get rid of.

As for your girlfriend, I got lost a bit there but if she doesn't live with you need to send her home some nights so she can get sleep, if she lives with you she needs her own room, if she doesn't sleep either maybe you both need help or have you considered you keep each other awake?

There are many reasons for not sleeping but you need to use that time to do some reading and see your doctor.

After trying everything the doctor suggested I sleep better now for the silliest reason, I threw my digital clock radio out and replaced it with a $2.00 battery operated tick tock, so I couldn't see what time it was when I woke up which was stressing me out because it was only ever five minutes after the last time I looked, now 18months later although I wake frequently (5 to 10 times) I sleep longer between waking, sometimes it can be as long as 4hrs.....I'm excited...lol

Good Luck, get help

She needs to grow up.

When I had insomnia, I started taking Tylenol PM. It helped a lot. After about a week, I started falling asleep on my own without the pills and have not had trouble since. You could also get a script from the doctor for Ambien or something similar. Other than meds, I don't really know what to suggest. Also, they make Tylenol PM now without the Tylenol in it. It is called "Simply Sleep".

I have the same problem with my fiance but he is much more understanding. Talk to your doctor about this if possible bring her to an appointment with you so she can hear for herself what the facts are. Try to stay awake during the day, get up early, stay busy, son;t rest and relax, exercise and work your body, stop drinking soda and high caffeine beverages and sugars a few hours before bed. try asking her to help you, maybe a warm shower together and a massage?

Good luck!

Insomnia (sleeplessness) is due to stress, dietary and medical
problems. By making small lifestyle changes like having a fixed
daily routine, relaxing and eating properly, insomnia can be
cured. I found the information at http://tinyurl.com/jfzpz useful
for getting sleep.

If you drink coffee or tea, stop. You can try getting 'melatonin' to help you sleep. You won't need a prescription for that and it is not addictive. After a few days of the following a routine, it might help you to get back on track. A hot chocolate will help, chocolate will soothe the nerves. Avoid alcohol. If it doesn't work then you might want to see a doctor for help. I had the same problem before....I took a while to get back on track.

You are not able to particularly do away with it. But i might begin with discovering a brand new pastime. And give up writing such a lot at the pc. Do sports along with your peers. Set a target for your self to just keep at the pc for 2 hours then cut back each month. It might prevent a couple of greenbacks at the electrical invoice!!! ;). Basically uncover anything else to do, for those who are not able to seem at what films are approaching, what parties that sound kinda cool. Be in the market rather of within right here.

there's plenty you could do. first you have to figure out the source of the problem, whether it's emotionally based, or just some kind of chemical imbalance. either way something is wrong that you need to handle. you do need sleep, your body just isnt responding to what it needs. research the matter, talk to your doctor and ask him about having a sleep study done. you could always try sleeping pills till your body learns its sleep cycle and gives into it. you need consistency and it will take some discipline to fix the problem, but if you really want to it can be done.

.why don't you take a sleeping pill to put you to sleep take them before bed and you will be asleep next to her then she might get mad because you are asleep and she is awake. take them at least 30 minutes before bed. i know what you are going through because i don't sleep at night and i take something to put me to sleep. you need to talk to a doctor also.

Try ambien.

Otherwise, seek the help of a psychologist. If your go your girlfriend might realize it's a deeper problem than just not being able to sleep. If you seek help/treatment it should prove to her it's not something you can fix on your own.
