An Orthodox Jew means someone who is religious- it's more of a general term. There are many branches of religion. Orthodox usually refers to the more observant- not Conservatives or Reforms.
A Hassid is someone who follows in the ways of the Hassidim who came from Europe. They have their own dress codes and certain customs that the rest don't have.
