I would like to shrink my inner thighs a bit, so that they don't really touch when I stand or when I'm in a bathing suit. Is this impossible to do? What, if anything, can be done to improve the inner thighs?

I'm not trying to loose weight. I'm 5'0 and I weigh 98 lbs, I'm really not looking for weight loss here, but I would like to shrink my inner thighs a bit, so that they don't really touch when I stand or when I'm in a bathing suit. Is this impossible to do? What, if anything, can be done to improve the inner thighs?

Any type of exercise along with not overeating will cause weight loss that will result in any fat disappearing from the inner thighs. An exercise that firms the inner thighs is any movement that moves the leg to the inside such as this one: Lie on your side with the elbow on the floor and your head propped in your hand. Put the foot of the top leg flat on the floor in front of the knee of the lower leg. Lift the lower leg off the floor and slowly lower it again. Repeat several times, then roll over and do the same thing on the other side. After several repetitions, stretch the muscles of the inner thighs by sitting in a straddle with your legs as far apart as you can then lean forward. If you don't stretch afterwards, you will build the muscle up making the thighs bigger plus you will be sore the next day.

For weight exercises, you can do squats for overall thigh development, same with leg presses. With leg presses, you can position your feet a little bit wider than sholder width to put more emphasis on the inner quads.

If your gym has a leg adductor machine, that's be a great choice, since it purely works that area.

Focus on high reps (12-15) to tone and strengthen the muscle. The low rep ranges are more for mass building (6-8)
