ok i am 15 years old and i have been sick for about a week off and on. i am vomiting and my stomach hurts like crazy. it is like cramps but much worse. i went to the doctor and they said it was most likely the flu but im not so sure i dont have any other syptoms. does anyone have any other ideas of what it might be? i will have to go to the doctor again if it continues much longer. have any idea what it might be so i am more prepared. i am tired of worrying over what might be nothing.no meds have helped.thanks

If you saw the doctor in the last day or two, I would give it another day. However, if you saw your doctor when you first got sick, I think it is time to see him again. The flu, while it can last a week or more, usually lasts 24 o 72 hours.
Also, are you sexually active? If so, did you tell the doctor that? Do you have a nervous temperament? Are you running a fever? Have you eaten in any fast food establishments or restaurants recently? The symptoms you describe can fit so many different illnesses that the questions I just asked are also very important.
I really suggest you see your doctor again. It is always better to get checked out again than to worry.
