Me and my boyfriend of 5 weeks had a bit of an argument yesterday who do you think is right....
He said on saturday that he would come to mine for a change on sunday, so on sunday i rang him at 2pm to find out what time he was coming round. he said he would be at mine by 3.30pm so i said ok ill have a snooze for a bit coz im tired.
at 4pm i rang him to find out where he was, he said he was still at home!!!! when i questioned him he said he thought he would give me another hours sleep and suprise me by getting to mine later...
My argument is that i think he should of told me in the first place that he would get here later, he said he didnt tell me as i sounded tired and he didnt want to interrupt my sleep...
I know it sounds petty, but id just like some other peoples views on it.

This is a tough one and I would not make anything out of it.
He could be telling the true...or not...

If this is such a big deal after only 5 weeks there is no chance of any future for you.
I agree with the above and you seriously need to lighten up, this is too possesive too soon, (if at all) this guy is going to run a mile if your not careful.
I'm not really fussed about best answer here if it gets you to listen to what i'm saying.
If it was me i'd be thinking about giving you the push, i'd be thinking my god, if she's like this after 5 weeks what will she be like after 5 months?
That's not a relationship.

To be honest I think he was just trying to be nice and let you rest!!
But does it really warrant having an argument over just forget it there are much more important things going on in this world than your boyfriend not phoning or being where you want at a certain time

oh you brits are so cool w/ ur wording! I love it. Okay sweets, it's a small issue, he could have been being nice and let you rest. Or he could have been dawdling. If he was dawdling, tell him there will be no more of that. If it were me honey, you'd be wondering why I woke you with my tounge between ur legs. Thats just me, go easy on the feller, or bloke as u say, but keep ur eye on him.

Well, he did a nice thing by letting you sleep, but he should have stuck to his word. But if he was thinking about you and wanted you to get rest then you should just forget about the whole thing. Don't let something small like this ruin a relationship.

Niether of you are wrong. You are excited to see him and he was trying to respect you. he probably found something to do "like a video game and was trying to be nice and let you sleep longer. You both need to negotiate and communicate. Don't always think of yourself, he has his life too and you can't expect him to always want to be right by your side. If you love each other then give each other time, space, and truth. Talk to him and let him know how it felt, tell him next time to not let you sleep... here's what I would say. "honey, I was really excited to see you, I appreciate you giving me more time to sleep, but I would of rather been with you. Next time, don't let me sleep, I like being with you and I don't want to waste the day sleeping."

ok really neither of ye are right or wrong but you sound a bit like me in the sense that you're punctual and like to stick to plans made.
He was only being considerate when he let it go for an extra hour or so - but when a person is like you as in you like to stick to the times arranged and stuff then i can see why you're a bit bummed over it.
I wouldnt cause a scene over it but explain that in future you'd prefer for him to arrive on the planned time. xx

I would say think about the importance of this issue. To me, it is something very trivial. It sounds like he was just trying to be nice and let you sleep. But he could have told you, too. But is it important? I don't think so. You can both be winners by letting the issue go and just be happy.

Does it really matter who is right with this one? Like you said, its a petty argument - rather don't blow it out of proportion.
just explain to him why you are upset, and then acknowledge and respect his reply.
there are way worse things that you two could disagree on.

If you two are doing business,your boyfriend is not right for not being punctual,but it is not that case,so let's never talk about who is wrong or right,nobody is worng except for who is going to argue for this.
Your man is good,love is giving,and pls do not quarrel with your man for this trivial, or you can be single for ever. Love is right.
