So my boyfriend will be in Air Force Basic Training during Christmas, and I bought him two t-shirts that he will love, but I don't know if I'm allowed to send him clothes. I'm thinking of just sending him pictures of it for christmas, but I really want to send him the shirts. Anyone know if I can send them?

Your boyfriend's family should have received a copy of the "USAF Basic Training Information for Family and Friends manual." This would detail whether or not he can receive packages. As of 2004, I know it did not allow for packages, they are held by the squadron until graduation. Maybe non-provocative pictures of you wearing the t-shirts. The calling cards are always a great idea, but remember it must all fit in a regular envelope.

I'd stick with a nice card and a picture of you holding the shirts. Maybe you could put on one for him :)

For the small amount of time he's in Basic Training he'll only be able to wear clothes that he was issued. Send them to his next place so they arrive when he does as he'll be desperate for civilian clothes. Merry Christmas!

Don't send them to him in basic training, wait until he comes home on leave or is at tech school. Send him pictures and a phone card. He will really want letters from home while he's there.

The calling card idea is great. He will not be allowed the T-Shirts they will be packed away until he leaves. There is the risk they would get lost or stolen. Better to send a letter that tells him you got a gift and you will mail it to him as soon as he gets to Technical School.

It would be pointless. He wont have time to wear them. You can only wear your uniform in basic. The TI's tend to not let the trainees have things like candy or such either, but since it'll x-mas I don;t know if the rules change. doubt it.
Send him pictures, letters, and phone cards, envelopes with stamps and pen and paper. Hopefully he has a cool TI and they give him phone time.
Tell him to not give up and that you're proud of him. Lots of encouraging words are the best.

im not sure how the air force works but in the army we were only allowed to recieve stuff like watches, white socks, and letters thats about the extent of it.

nope sorry! they can't have any personal items, or care packages until ait. You can send pictures, letters, stamps, cards etc...but that's it. a calling card would be a good idea..or else your collect bill will be huge!! so it's a gift to you both ! :)
