Itchy anus or sleep issues - are these possibles? Help me help someone!

Yes, an itchy anus is an example. Continuous itching down there is a big clue. If you bite your nails you are more prone to worms as well.

Wash your hands really well...go see the doctor and they can give you something for the worms.

My daughter had pinworms when she was 2. She seemed especially tortured by them at night. She definitely had a hard time sleeping. You could not see them in the stool. I was supposed to check for them when she went to sleep. These pinworms in particular would come out at night around the anus area. I was never able to see them though. The docs finally just gave her medicine and that night I gave the medicine to her, thousands of worms just came pouring out of her like in a horror movie. I have never seen anything like it and hope to never again!

One of the first signs is the loss of weight.
Another sign would be the presence of worms in the feces.

Something wiggling in your poo would be a clue.
