In this new age, Its difficult to judge the good relationships. I had lot of experiences like that. But what one else can do.? Yes but keeping relations without any strings are very long lasting.

I think when some people or friend which are physically close or relationally close, are not really close, and during this period if u make fake freindship , then it leads aal previous relationships. Because its more relaxing, cool and caring on those part of life.
The relationship would be broken after ur previous relatives or friends start behaving better again. :-)

a dated a girl for about a year once without really loving her. I feel bad for wasting her time, but she was sweet and I thought if I could just fall in love somehow everything would be gravy. But as you can imagine she ended up hurt, and went to try her luck elsewhere. Really, I wish I had just broken up with her when I felt it wasn't happening, instead of waiting around to be struck by lightning.

It all depends on what you are trying to get from the relationship.
Maybe all you want or need is sex, or someone to talk to.
Just don't lead anyone on. That's the worst thing.
