I have started a thread about Marciano vs. Liston, who would win in their prime? So far responces have Iron Jawed & undefeated heavy champ Marciano a 4 to 1 winner over Liston.
If in their prime, say 26 yrs. age for both, who would win, Marciano or Clay? Remember, both in their PRIME!!! Clay had cat like reflexes & over all speed to burn, which is probably a VAST under statement!!! He also unquestionably possessed the fastest hands in heavy weight history with a "plus medium" punch & his speed was figured at a junior welter weight/welter weight in comparrison.
Marciano, a multi talented & SUPUBLY FIT heavy king with a ko punch in what ever he threw(Roland Lastarzza!) was known never to have entered the prize ring in less than PERFECT shape & was considered a formidable heavy & awesome on all circuits!!! Marciano NEVER paced himself in a fight, depending on his supurb shape to let him go fifteen rounds "full bore"! BUT, he never faced an opponent with Clay's speed! Who would win?

Cassius Clay would win, but it would not be an easy fight.Rocky would keep coming and would make it close, but Clay was a special fighter and would do enough to stop Rock late or coast to a decision win.

Both in their prime, Ali. I doubt if Marciano would have been able to hit him. Marciano had a heck of a chin though. Ali might not have been able to knock him out. I suspect he'd cut Marciano up a lot and probably win by a TKO.

at the same time as i replaced right into a baby, I said a movie called "someone Up There Likes Me" It replaced into the tale of Rocky Marciano, from then on i replaced into hooked, I couldn`t see or listen or study sufficient cloth about him. Rocky replaced right into a slugger and stayer with him it replaced into blood and bruises all the way. while Ali, extremely replaced into "The prettiest boxer you`d ever seen" diverse kinds, diverse circumstances, diverse adult males, both magnificent boxers. at the same time as a 21yr.previous boxer called Cassius Clay received his Olympic gold medal, activities writers declared "This toddler is sweet" What an underestimation that grew to change into out to be!. As to who's the superb, i imagine it should be Muhammad Ali on factors. did you recognize, interior the three hundred and sixty 5 days 2000 right here in England we voted Ali to be the "Sportsman of the Century"? The ceremony replaced into televised and Ali got here to visit to in my opinion customary his award. The roars and cheers of appreciation from the target audience ought to truly were heard global. stunning! by the fashion, i understand a guy who has a Boxer canines called "Rocky" and yet another who has a Pekingese canines called "Ali"

Cassius Clay. PERIOD. Rocky can take a punch from a standard "brawler" but never fought a "boxer".
Brawler - stands still and hits hard. Very Slow.
Boxer - Moves fast and often, and also hits many times.
Ali is a little of both when he needs to be. He would wear rocky down with his speed and legendary footwork, and then catch him with that amazing Hook of his.
I predict a round 5 TKO. OH YEAH!

ok my opinion is george chuvalo was better than rocky, put chuvalo in rocky`s shoes and match him against washed up ex greats and today over 50 yrs later were talking george chuvalo up like he`s an alltime great, likewise put rocky in georges shoes and he gets overmatched except i think chuvalo was bigger stronger and took a better punch also not as prone to cuts so for ali of 1965 against marciano they have no choice but to stop it on cuts by the 8th rd.

Marciano. his undefeated record speaks for itself. Plus I'm a certified Clay-Ali hater. It makes me sick that so many people glorify a draft dodging punk that wouldn't even fight for the country and system of values that allowed him to become a millionaire. Marciano on the other hand answered the call and served in WWII for two years. Ali is a Punch drunk piece of crap. I hate him .

I PITY ANY HUMAN BEING THAT ERRONEOUSLY THINKS MARCIANO COULD BEAT ALI (PRE-1967 OR POST-1970).
ALI WOULD WIN BY A TKO (CUTS) OR A LOP-SIDED, ONE-SIDED UNANIMOUS DECISION.
