i believe that most of the bible is trustworthy to used for instruction in righteousness. I also believe there are many other manuscripts that are just as equal to gain this purpose that were kept out of the bible.
but i believe also that many Preachers, teachers, and emums can be taught false doctrine and believe THEY teach the truth.
I know i have fallen into the snare on a few doctrrines of debate.
people without computers and the internet could be ten times more intelligent. I know when i first owned a computer i types so much that i forgot how to write with a pen or pencil!
I also believe that having a computer has me a little more dumber whenit comes to being able to get anwers. its a give and take situation.
why believe what the disciples of jesus wrote? Why ? because what they wrote testifies of a man who was God and saviour who died and was resurrected. They had the gospel to share with the world and it is almost universal that all christians believe this.

You pose two questions w/ an interesting set of points between them. Please allow me to answer the second question first as it has a direct bearing on your title question.
2000 - 3000 years ago when the Bible was being written, they indeed lacked the tools and elementary science we now take for granted. They faced the same issues, however, as we do: what makes for peace, where is meaning found, is there hope, where is God, why should we act a particular way and what is that way. Internet headlines suggest these issues remain paramount today.
Now the first question: Do I believe the entire Bible. Not at all. I believe God. The Bible has proved throughout those 3000 years and throughout my life to be a helpful guide in understanding God's answer to the lingering issues of human relationships.
Sometimes the Bible does this with "pronouncements", quite often with interpreted history, sometimes w/ parables to puzzle through, and on occasion very directive statements.

Yes, I believe the ENTIRE Bible and do believe that every word was inspired by God and God only. God made man in His image and God is perfect in every way. So keeping that in mind imagine their intelligence as being geniuses. God taught them Himself the things they needed to know in order to keep the garden and how to take care of the animals (and that means not eating them.) After He was done teaching them the necessities, they knew everything they needed to know for that first era.
I read the Bible for guidance and knowledge. The Bible teaches us to be ready for His second coming and there are prophecies that we need to be aware of that ONLY the Bible teaches. That is what I study.
Sorry about the caps. I'm not yelling, but I just don't know the code for bolding.
Addition:
By the way, there is not one verse in the Bible that says that there were other people that lived outside the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve were cast out. That is a myth.

I don't believe all of it in a literal sense, but the spiritual sense of truth which is found between the lines is true, and this sense of belief changes to understanding, and then there are no questions about it. You can read something in it and it wont make sense, and a year later read it again, and the true sense will be clear as day. After this happens a few times you begin to wonder how much treasure is in the Bible.

Science has proved most of it all the way back to Genesis, Physics is studying it now and have proven some parts of it.
Human used to be very intelligent, I think humans are dumber now than they have ever been throughout history.
Humans knew the world was round 5000 years ago, the great pyramid was built based on the dimensions of the earth, they even knew it was flattened at the poles.
The Library of Alexander was believed to hold scientific things in it that rivaled what we know now, Caesar accidentally burnt it down when he was trying to burn the port of Egypt during a battle with them. He said he regretted it very much because he knew it held wondrous things, it set us back 2000 years.

The first books of the Bible are oral traditions memorized and handed down until an alphabet was invented and a means of writing sentences and something to permanently hold these traditions down on was invented.
No I do not believe in everything that's in the bible. ADAM was not the first created human on Earth . As when His family were exiled from the GARDEN . GOD gave them them Skins to wear. And they met other TRIBES outside of the GARDEN. I believe ADAM was the first of the tribe we call Israelites.
If our ancestors were so dumb we wouldn't have most of the things we use today.Like the wheel.

Some do not believe on entire bible. Jews believe the old testament. But Christian believe in the whole bible. Yes We have to believe in the entire bible because it is the word of god. It is Truth. Isaiah said about Jesus he born in Bethlehem. The history tells us about the greatest king of Israel David it is also written in the bible. The last book of bible a dream given to john it will be a Truth.

First off, I don't accept the "linear" view of history as taught by academia and the scientific community. One can even say, besides the Holy Scriptures, why believe in the "myths" of antiquity? For surely, these fantastic tales are ridiculous and fashioned by dumb Primitives. Yes, if you believe in "linear history" that "presupposes" the notion of progress "equals" more intelligence.
But the reality is otherwise. We have been taught the wrong paradigm. In reality, civilization is cyclic and recurrent. There have been several scientifically advance global technocultures that once thrived upon the face of the Earth, but became extinct, as our's will, from cosmocataclysms. Even Plato attested to this notion. Once this is realized then when one examines the things in myth, the worldwide mythological record, Hebrew myth, and the Bible, then suddenly a new perspective emerges for the very first time.
EXAMPLES:
The Hermetica and the Egyptian Book of the Dead relay accounts of the origin of life on Earth. It becomes clear that what is being relayed is the fragmented surviving "science" of a former global technoculture that had "already" executed the quantum physics of our origins, and describing not "evolution" (which is apparently inaccurate) but a "polybiological explosion" of all life in unison via a "spontaneous geocrucible effect".
The times of Noah appear to have been at the scientific zenith of a former global technoculture, for the Torah describes a "Toshar Crystal" that "powered" and "lit up" the interior of the legendary Ark.
The Greek myth of Oedipus and the Sphinx and the Hebrew myth of Lilith who rejected Lilu are actually personified accounts describing a former perfect and euphoric condensed Paleo-Universal Structure that collapsed and inverted itself into our current Trans-Universal Superstructure, transforming into deteriorated properties, including the changing of the attributes of "time" to be degenerative. Again, fragments of a former advance science of origins that survives to this day via story and myth.
Even the tales in every culture regarding "fratricide" between the "twin brothers", including the Biblical Cain and Abel, is really in reference to the death of our original star, Sirius B, by Sirius C [our Sun]. (Yes, even modern scientists have gotten our Solar System's history wrong.) Hence, the Biblical "six days of creation" are actually six great solar epochs to the chronological history of our Solar System. It turns out that the Sirius Binary is the missing half of our Solar System, formerly a trinary system with 3 stars and 11 planets, which split in half when Sirius B, our paternal star, went Nebula, creating the celestial dynamics that split the system in half. This was personified into the great hero who’s "lights went out" (blinded) in the account of Orion (Osiris), the Biblical Samson, and the Babylonian Apsu.
Even the birth of the "woman" (Eve/Isis) out of the "side" of the "man" (Adam/Osiris) was actually the birth of the "goddess star" (Sirius A) out of the side of Sirius B, via a "mass stellar ejection episode" from a cometary impact into Sirius B, precipitating the Flood of Noah from the repercussion and subsequent stellar debris bombardment of the Earth. In the post Flood period the "bow" (not a rainbow as theologians have misinterpreted) in the sky that Noah saw was the protracted ejecta tail of Sirius A (which within formed 10 new planets). This is why the ancient Babylonians and Chinese referred to Sirius A as the "Bow Star".
I'm a proponent of examining all ancient writings, not just the manuscripts and texts that were eventually compiled under King James of England into the modern Bible. When I think of all the knowledge that went up in smoke when the Romans burned down the Library of Alexandria, and when the Jesuits burned all the ancient Codices of Meso-America (except a few surviving pages) as the work of the "Devil", my heart is just utterly saddened of the vital wisdom of the ages that we have been deprived in the name of "Fanatical Religion".

You have a valid point, as my old "Classic" Astronomy book written by Dr. Fred Hoyle, once the foremost expert in the field, says Pluto is a planet and we have 9 planets in our solar system.
My 1969 high school science text has the same fallacies.
I guess you can't trust any book.
So why bother reading.
