I disagree. There is no need for that information on the ID card and it only makes discrimination based on religion more likely. People are already being discriminated against for too many things, so why add one more thing they can be discriminated for? Religion is a personal choice anyway and it's nobody's business who follows what religion.

Every one should HAVE to get their Religions stamped on their NATIONAL ID-CARD!
That way we atheist can hold you Idiotts accoutable for crimes against HUMANITY !
Into the GAS CHAMBERS (Zyclon B works! TRIED AND TRUE!), and then right into the Fertilizer Factory!
Or better still: "Voluntary" Gene & DNA - Experimentations to produce better Drugs for the Rest of the World! Drug Testing on Live "religous" People!
Time to give something BACK to Humanity that you Whackos have brought so much senseless SUFFERING!
All of you, that subscribe to ANY Religion should be rounded up and kept in Camps for futher Processing. When a Anvil Factory needs 100 Workers for the Day, SURE! Here you got 100 Old Born Againers! Have Fun Schlepping 110 Pound Anvils all friggen day long!
MY, my!
I would put you to good use!

hmmm....
If the person's religion is stated in his or her ID, there may be a possibility of discrimination based on religion (like the Jews in World War 2 and during the Stalin era).
Personally, I think that issue/concern should be non-obligatory in nature.
Just my honest 2 cents worth.
Peace.

it kinda reminds me of the gold star that was given to jews. it made it easier to HERD jews into concentration camps.
if a religion is denoted in an id card how much easier would it be to herd Muslims and suspected terrorists or suicide bombers and separate them for questioning and jail?
of course the same thing can be applied to christians in america. for those that want a society free of bible thumpers so the rest of the world can be free of their teaching and that the whole world can be mind programmed into worshipping the antichrist.

I do know about that, and from what I see it makes their lives more complicated - the government is tracking them wherever they go, in whatever they do, in meaning they cannot hide!

I am glad they dont do that in America.
my parents came from a country where you had to put your race/ethnic origin on all official documents.
suffice it to say they left because of the discrimination.
