Umm..well the reason there are creases is so our hands can bend and scrunch up so that we can pick things up. If there were no creases the insides of our hands would be smooth and we would not be able to bend our hands...or if we tried I would imagine the skin would break. We would all look funny walking around looking like we are in a constant state of Mr. Roboto.

A theory question? My guess is that palms are made by the repitition of gripping things from a very young age. Maybe they are there in the first place to assist skin flexibility in the palm.

Because it is one of the most folded pieces of skin on the body, and we all know skin wrinkles, so basically its just your "oldest" wrinkles.
