I know that I sound like the generic teenage girl who wants a BMI of only 14 like those psychotic models who are flatter than 2x4s, but my parents have been telling me to eat less.
I'm 16-years old, 5'5'', and 115lbs. It sounds normal and all, but compared to other Asian girls, I'm not a pixie.
I currently have more fat than muscle on me right now, and am wondering if I should start exercising and such. I obviously don't want to be anorexic, but I also don't want to be unhealthy.
(PS: I'm a vegetarian)

Weight aside (you are slim anyway) EVERYONE should exercise. Don't worry about being a pixie, don't eat less... just focus on healthy choices and stay active. Cardio is good for your heart and overall health, while resistance training is not only great for muscles but important for women in general to improve bone density. Include 7-10 servings of fruit and veggies in your diet, drink lots of water, protein servings should be no more than the size of a deck of cards, and eat whole grains.
Don't let yourself go hungry. You are not done growing and need to listen to your body's cues, not society's obsession with stick figures.

Personally, I'm quite comfortable telling fat chics to lose some weight. But if you're 5'5" and 115 lbs, I'd say you're at just about a perfect weight.
If you want to take up exercising, that's all well and good, but don't try to lose any weight.

5'5" and 115lbs is perfect! Maybe your parents are just worried that if you don't watch what you eat now at 16 your weight will get out of control when you get older. I'm asian too, and trust me your weight and height is perfect. Just continue to eat healthy and find some time to exercise so in the future you don't have to diet to lose weight like some others.

Your weight is OK for your height, but like you said, you have more fat than muscle and that's not good. I'd say, don't aim for eating less, rather, start exersising.
If you are 5'5 115 and all muscle that's a good weight and height. But if that's mostly fat - then well you said it... fat. It also depends on you age. People gain with age mo matter what.

Your weight sounds completely normal and healthy for your height. If you feel you need to tone up a little, then sure.. do some more exercise. The trick is not to become obsessive about it - you're still very young, it's normal to carry a little bit of extra "puppy fat" around. This will eventually disappear. :-)

EAT more protein. You can start lifting weights too, right now you are NOT fat!! Do not let anyone tell you that. 5'5 and 114 lbs is thin. I wouldn't worry until you hit 135. Even then you still wouldn't be "fat". You can start to lift weights if you want to look more toned. Make sure you start out easy though. Honestly though, you are perfect they way you are.

Exercising is generally a good idea but always talk to a doctor first in case you have any medical conditions/concerns, he/she can suggest the best exercises. From your height and weight you seems like you would be pretty thin at 115 lbs. Good luck and keep eating healthy.

I think your weight is fine.
But I also like my women on the thick and juicy side.
Anyway, there is nothing wrong with exercising for health; but don't get caught up on numbers on the scale.
I really like Asian girls.
Especially the ones with a little extra meat on them.
So don't be ashamed, instead rejoice in your uniqueness.

It's a good thing you're vegetarian! Exercise a bit if you like, but not too much! You're weight and height are fine! Don't worry too much!

it is important to remember that being healthy is not so much about weight then lifestyle, eating habits and excerise. for example a overweight female that eats regular semi-healthy meals but is very active and get adequate sleep is healthier then a underweight or average weight female that seldom eats or eats junk and is inactive.
