I catch more hell for the Atheist trying to convince me ignorance is the better choice, I haven't strived my entire life to be intelligent to throw it away to be like them.

"I've always thought their religion is a sh.it, but I dont go and say it in their faces, in fact I try to stay well away from them, so, why dont they have some respect and notice when theyre not wanted"
Yet you are here in the mist of Christians posting this? You have the right to believe what you want, but I know the truth and I will not be luke warm for my God Christianity is not a religion it is the truth! Being Christian is not being religious it is a way of life we are suppose to be imitators of Christ not man, so hate us all you want because if every one loved us then that would just say we were not being real. My job is not to be pleasing in the sight of man but pleasing in the sight of God, the only one who can judge me. So I will continue to pray for you and all other doubters of the word of God in hopes that your heart and mind be opened to the truth. God Bless.

Depends on what you percieve aggression to be.
Many people feel that someone is aggressive, because they are telling the truth about something & the other person is afraid of the truth & doesn't want to hear it.
It doesn't bother me when someone wants to try to convert me to their church, because i know the truth & have nothing to fear.
I am a christian & as a christian,God expects me to tell the truth in love.We are commanded to spread the good news of Jesus so everyone has a chance to be saved & not go to Hell.
I don't force myself or Jesus's word on anyone. They choose to hear it or ignore it.

I was brainwashed for about 10 year in my youth, but critical reasoning saved me and I was reverted from my "Born Again" consciousness Now I believe in the gray areas of life, the deep mysteries, and the profound complexity of higher deity, not the God of fundamental churches who is oversimplified into a "turn or burn" theology.
That's the basics. Fundy Christian churches teach that past our human mortality lies either a trip to heaven or hell. It's a sales pitch, come with us and you'll be on the train to paradise. Don't join us and well....
This persuasive tactic uses fear to entice young minds especially.
Many Christians proselytize because they are taught that their mission from God is to go spread the word. "Pass it on"
But rather than persuading people for some selfish motive or profit motive, many Christians quite seriously do it out of love as they believe unless you believe as they do, that a great torment awaits you in hell after this life on earth.
Thus, many of Christians are sacrificing time and money in evangelism activities working from a motive of extending goodwill to others. Good intentions! Unselfish motives!
However, they rarely wish to engage in conversation where differing views are exchanged. I delight in such discussion of widely varying religious views, however most fundamentalist Christians I know see such discussion as argumentative and react emotionally at stated credos that substantially differ with their own.
** I did a great paper my freshman year that was a great exercise. I suggest it highly for those of varying beliefs to do and then share your writings with each other. Such tactics avoid the emotional argumentative interface.
1. Define God
2. Argue the existence or non-existence of such a God

I'm not a Christian, but I don't think that ALL of them are aggressive, This is generalizing.
It's OK to think that your believes are the best.
I think my religion is correct, but my religion also tells me to respect others, and not to be aggressive at all.
In Quran, God tells us about the prophet "Muses" and his brother "Harun", and God tells them to go to the "Pharaoh King" and speak to him tenderly, although he is not just a nonbeliever, he claimed that he's the God. Also in Quran God commands the Prophet Mohamed to tell the pagans, you have your religion and I have mine.

We are? Then if we are it's for a reason, we are trying to save you who have disobedient hearts. Believe in God and believe that Jesus Christ is Lord. Was that aggressive? Off course not, it is the TRUTH and if you don't want to accept it we won't stop preaching it.

Christians evangelize in order to save souls such that more people can follow Jesus during the Rapture inside of experiencing a heinous death. If you read the bible you would understand. Read it!

I haven't noticed that christians are that aggressive? They've usually seemed pretty whimpy to me. But some of them feel obligated to spread the "good news" as they say.
