i havent really thought about using sunblock or sunscreen, im 18 yr old male, and lately ive been getting burnt in my cheek and nose area, due to winter sun in california... my question is
if i do start using sunblock/sunscreen, are there any negative effects to daily use?
does the ingredients in sunblock bleach your skin? (white lotion)
if i stop using it, will i become more sensitive to the suns rays?
will using sunblock/sunscreen improve the overall health of my skin in the long run? (i've been burnt in the same area quite a few times)

And also, if you guys could recommend a sunscreen/sunblock for me, i dont want anyone to notice that i'm wearing it, and i dont want to feel it on my face

thanks in advance

no side affects.... if you do put it all over you... and dont get any natural sunlight, you will decrease the production of vitamin D and if prolonged can lead to a decrease in calcium absorption and normal bone turnover... however this is highly unlikley since it takes living in a cave for a long time without any UV light to get this way...

18 is the perfect time for a little concern.

Negative effects? Oh, other than a lower likelihood of skin cancer, less irritating burns, and softer skin for when someone touches you, I'd say it's all negative.

If more people thought like you do, we'd have a lot less cancer in this country.

As for sunscreen, I haven't got a favorite brand, but it's a good idea to apply it awhile before you go out (at least half an hour, an hour's even better). That way it's all soaked in, nobody's the wiser, and you don't feel it. If all else fails, go to one of those bath and body type shops and ask the counter ladies what kind of lotions have sun protection built in -- it could be a good opener, if Cali girls are as hot as I've heard (that pun sounded funnier in my head).

You're welcome. So many people forget to thank me... and they're gonna get coal in their stockings.

You can use quality products which will not harm you. Something natural. First try applying fresh tomato. If there is itching, continue.it will cure you Don't bleach it.If tomato does not help ,check with the doctors especially Ayurveda or homeopathic practitioners
