You should check out Buddhist food as well. I believe there are Indian restaurants in Beijing and Shanghai. I know for sure there is a great Buddhist restaurant in Jinan on a side street between Fo Shan Jie and Chao Shan Jie. It is totally vegetarian and the food is very good.
