I don't believe hes in pain still. Hes also got a wild look in his eyes its not normal hes a very sweet cat. I'm calling the vet tomorrow but would like some help from you first. Thanks

I think everyone pretty much hit it main part of your question. Kitty is obviously agitated either from pain, discomfort or the experience as a whole. I this you were also expressing a concern as to his behavior in regards to the vaccine as well. Rabies vaccine are a killed form of the virus and your cat will NOT contract the disease from being vaccinated for rabies. the behavior is not indicative that he has contracted rabies the disease has a longer incubation time, he would not be showing symptoms if he had. Hope this helps will all your concerns.

Your cat was traumatized at the vet. I would find a new vet. I personally like cat vets only for cats. Sometimes, vet techs can be rough with animals. He didn't like the way he was treated and is trying to tell you that. He's probably still mad and will get over it. You can help by reassuring him that he's okay and you will not hurt him. He is probably still in pain from the neutering. You need to watch him and make sure he does not get an infection from the surgery. If the area swells, drains, or he develops a fever he has an infection and you will have to put him on antibiotics to clear it up. This is not common but does happen. Good Luck!

I don't know what gives you the idea that he's no longer in pain, but you are DEAD wrong! I've never had that done to me, and since your avatar is unisex I don't know whether you're a male or female but you have to imagine slicing and stitching in the most sensitive place on your body. Even if the pain has subsided for the most part, it's still very much in evidence. My cats were sensitive for at least a week, maybe more. Additionally, I don't know the effects of a rabies shot; some shots make animals mildly sick and if that's the case here, then it's compounding the effects of the snip. Give him time; he'll be over it soon.

Okay hun heres the scoop, you cat has had a reaction to the anesthesia, its only been 3 days & Ive known cats to act strange & often violent or much more aggresive for up to a week or more, call your vet & let them know whats going on they may want you to bring kitty in for a recheck or may just tell you to try to make him as comfortable as possible & dont mess w him too much let him come to you, anesthesia accefts everyone & every animal differently & is known to cause personality/attitude changes temporarily.....I myslef had a strange reaction to anesthesia, I found myslef to be very grouchy & snotty for 3 days after my surgery, I just slept & stayed away from everyone as much as possible due to it and it passed the same w my female cat when I had her spayed....you pet was not abused at the vet, he may be a bit upset w you for taking him away & leaving him w strangers, cats are kinda of grudge holders for a brief time...but mostly its the anesthesia so dont worry too much & jsut give it a bit more time

Get real you expect pain to be gone in 3 days! Obviously you have nver had a bad injury! And he could be getting infected!

Your cat may also be angry with you for what you put him through. I am not saying you were wrong to neuter him. But he knows you took him an dleft him. He knows it was scarey and apinful. And you have no idea how he was treated by the vet and the staff.

My sister-in-law worked for a vet for a while, it turned her stomach. None of us have ever been the same since she had tha tjob. You would be surprised what goes on with your pet whenyou are not around!

Give you cat specail treats and let him know you love him. Cut out the rough play! Paly only with a toy fo rhim to pounce on. Nver let him play with your hand!!! Never wrestle him with your hand!

My cat develop into type of like that once a rabies shot . i imagine those pictures will be rather not undemanding on their gadget. So i do not agree that it's not in part some thing else as well the declawing. yet after 2 days i'd imagine she'd be getting over that, yet she is likely nevertheless hurting plenty from the significant surgical operation she's merely lengthy gone by skill of. i'd call the vet and tell them how she is and ask for some thing to ease her soreness, like Buprenorphine. i do not realize why they could deliver cats abode from any such painful surgical operation with out any soreness medicine. even in spite of the undeniable fact that cats are very stoic and attempt to hide their soreness, ANY animal may be in significant soreness after distinctive amputations. of direction, in case you tell the vet archives and he hears another indicators that sound like she is having some larger reaction from the shot, he would have you ever convey her decrease back in. yet likely you should merely %. up some medicine for her soreness.. Then merely enable her take her time. with somewhat of success you already moved her foodstuff and water and muddle field on the point of her mattress so she does no longer could walk far. (BTW in case you get some Buprenex, that is a liquid which would receive with an oral syringe. in spite of the undeniable fact that it does no longer soak up properly from the digestive tract, yet does soak up properly from the liner of the mouth, so that you opt for to enable that absorption ensue in place of have the cat swallow it too quick. after I supply it, I carry onto the cat firmly and extremely slowly push out the drugs some drops at a time into the "cheek pocket" between the cheek and the part enamel). in the adventure that they get impatient I supply up and then supply some thing in a minute. that provides it the perfect threat to artwork. )

it's only been three days, he IS still in pain or at least very uncomfortable...at the moment he's probably scared and feels like you betrayed him, i know it sounds silly but cats know when they are being taken to the vet and they don't like it...when I take my cat to the vet, even just for grooming or a check-up, he ignores me and sticks his nose up at me for at least a few days later...your cat just had a scary and painful experience and on top of it all he also received a shot, I wouldn't be surprised if he is just angry at you and being defensive and so is biting and scratching..call your vet nonetheless but give him a few days for the pain or discomfort to go away so that he can feel relaxed and safe again :)

I think maybe he's in pain or has a high level of testosterone from the surgery or both. Call your vet. Usually this should pass as he heals and his system gets back in balance.

I am sure he has still some pain, but cats don't act like that when in pain, quite the opposite. I don't know what stupid thing your vet did, call him!
