yes you can, its costly it really depends where you go, find a cosmitology school near there they usually are cheap if you have a senior student do it, or just call around to places around you, there are no affects unless your pregnant, the worst thing that could happen is that it wont straighten is all, good luck

Permanently Straighten Hair

to permanently straighten your hair will last between 6 months to a year because your hair grows out so the roots will start being like your normal hair. In alot of cases, your hair will become very dry and have alot of split ends due to all the chemicals and heat put upon your hair however, it won't be so bad if your hair stylist uses a good deep conditioner. Hair straightening can cost form about 100 dollars to 350.

I get a straightening perm, it's actually less damaging than a curly perm because the chemicals are on your hair for less time. The damage done is less than using a flat iron every day. I had a little bit of perm in my hair when I had it done and it lasted about 6 months. The care for it is very easy (wash and go with a little baby oil for shine). Unlike a curly perm, there's no rollers, so it takes under 30 minutes. I paid approximately $15 for my hair treatment.

You don't wnat to try rebonding. If your hair is fine, it will thin down. I don't think they really have a permanent hair straightener. Usually you have to go back from time to time, they will last only a few months. Then again it depends how curly your hair is. If it is too curly, chances are, it will frizz up. So you really got to be sure if you really want to do it. You should ask your hair dresser for their advice before doing it. They would have to see the condition of your hair first. Good Luck!

I have my hair straightened permanently but it will only lasts for 6 months cause when my hair grow, curls keeps coming back. So, i guess its not a permanent straight. It looks good when it is straight for a few days/weeks but it needs a lot of maintenance cause it will breaks like split ends etc. all over. you need a monthly hot oil, cellophane, hair spa, trim to maintain it. It will look really nice and manageable.

I've tried the Japanese perm, which is awesome. You only need to straighted the roots when they grow. I could finally wear my hair down after getting the perm done. I heard it runs around $300, but I only paid $150 the first time b/c I wen to a lady who does it at home, and so many of my friends told me about her. The touch up was like $100. They only bad thing about it is that my hair fell alot. It wasn't too bad for me b/c I had thick hair origianlly,so I don't mind it so much. Now that the majority of my hair is straight, I might not go back for a touch up. I'm thinking of just getting a relaxer from the store for my roots. I also use a flat iron which greatly helps.

Sort of. You can permanently straighten existing hair, but you can't change your genetics so that your hair grows straight. Any regrowth will look like your hair did orginally. The hair that you have treated, however, is pretty much PERMANENTLY straight. I have very curly thick hair and I was thinking about straightening it myself. Anyway, good luck!!!

Yeh There is. In fact, the effect is very strong that your hair will be like.. WOAH, REBOND. Haha! It costs like a hundred bucks in Singapore. Depending on the length of your hair. When you straighten your hair, the 'bones' inside the strands of hair will get softer and thus they will be straighten.
Side effects.. hmm.. sometimes if things doesnt went well.. your hair will get crimpled. As in.. Hmm... dried up. yeh.. it will look ugly.
Soo.. good luck, matey!

Kind of, it's just the opposite of a curling perm. It's not really permanently straight though just until your hair grows out, just like any other perm. Which can look rather odd. But it can be very damaging to your hair just like any other perm.
