It depends on who you are speaking of, Religious people or academics.
Most of the bible using religions have a recognized text that they accept as the accurate text. For Catholics it's the Vulgate, and it has been their officially recognized version since the 5th century. For Jews it's the Mesoretic text. For many Protestants it's the Textus Recepticus.
What you may be thinking of is either all the new versions you see on bookshelves, "The KJV," "The New International Version," "The Revised Standard Version." Those aren't new texts of the Bible, they are new translations of the Bible, which is a foreign language document. Those can keep coming out forever.
You may also be thinking of the academic edits of the Bible based on various manuscripts found. Because Academics do not acccept the traditions of the various religious groups, they use these to alter the text of the Bible. The Church, the various denominations of the Protestant faiths, and the Poskim of the Jews would all probably agree that those manuscripts are heretical writings or discarded scribal errors. They ignore them, and stick to their traditional texts.
Academics play the same games with the Quran unfortunately, but Muslims are more likely to handle such people with zeal, so they do it less.

The Bible was written in Hebrew and Greek and is kept within the Vatican in these original languages, but the reason new editions are made is due to the translations which are not completely accurate and therefore justify another translation.
It is also for this reason that many Muslims were opposed to the translation of the Qu'ran.

How do folks read it who don't know Arabic? Are all Muslims required to read Arabic? And it's very well that you have the Quran in the original but that in itself doesn't prove that it's the word of Allah.

culture is dynamic.Language is also dynamic, this means that as long as languages will continue to change, then we will always have new Bible Translations.however i think it is highly unlikely for us to ever have, for instance,Exodus 20;14, that reads thou shall NOT commit adultery now reading you can now commit adultery. however we can have it reading, No ringing No dinging for the teenagers, etc...

never, they will keep editing (although this is against god's explicit command) to make it fit with current philosophy.
