I'm not really sure on the size of the bone. From what I know it is a porkchop bone. He's passed 2 SMALL pieces, and I am sure the bone was much bigger than that. He's maybe used the bathroom three times in 3 days, is this normal? He usually goes 4 times a day. As far as blood goes, i've not noticed any in the stool.

this depends on the type of bone (animal) and the size of it.

PLEASE take him to the vet in case though.

Depends on what type of bone it was. If it was the kind that splinters in the gut....you may be in trouble. Never feed a dog chicken, pork chop, steak or turkey bones. They splinter as the dog chews them and have sharp points that can pierce the gut at any place in the digestive tract. This can cause all sorts of problems from vomiting blood, blood in the stool, not eating or drinking. Dogs can die from eating these things. Please watch your dog carefully for any signs that this has happened. Then you have have to take him/her to the vet for x-rays and possible surgery. Good Luck!

It depends how big the bone was and whether it will get lodged in the intestines, you'd best ring your vet and explain how big the bone was and get them to explain the possibilities to you.

You may need to give your dog olive oil to help it pass it.
