Yes ma'am I do. No I wouldn't and at our church they pass out Cowboy Bibles to everyone so the pastor can just say turn to page 31 or whatever page the verses we are studying are on.

No
Yes
our church is a Buddhist church so we only talk about the Dalia Lama and the rest of the lama's cause they are the reason for the Buddhist religion and that is our gods. Unlike the other churches we meet every day and instead of praying we meditate and we celebrate all different holidays than Christians. But we do believe in Christmas. Some people bring a bible but others don't.

I read the Bible at home. In the church there is a Bible from which appointed readers read during the Liturgy, at due time. There are also some psalms that are sung, some all the time, some varying along the year. Readings on Sundays are from the Epistles and the Gospels, but on feast days sometimes there are also readings from the Old Testament, especially Prophets and Genesis.

i stopped going to church when I found that sorcery and a form of poisoning existed in the secret combinations that exists among the priesthood and leadership.
but i retain enough knowledge to get by on the memory i have of the scriptures. So maybe its well enough to say I bring the spirit of God with me whereever i go.

A warning about using the scriptures as an "idolatry" and a proof of authority to preach the gospel !!!
the bible, the torah or the koran is NOT a true source of any authority ALL religious people that go to the scriptures for proof and authority cross a thin line from instruction to the same and equal sin of idolatry because they place the scriptures before God and the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is the personage that LEADs ALL people to the "Truth". the scriptures are there to help a man of God become faithful and instruct a person in obtaining faith and become perfect.

I take my Bible every time I go to a church function. I am a pastor and I have been called on to preach at a moments notice.

No. I was rather shocked when we started to have one in the pews. We don't read it there. We have them. We read them. But in church we have a reader who reads a lesson from the OT, the NT, the Psalm, and the priest reads from the Gospel just before the sermon.
