or from a danger?
for example,once I was on a scooter with my brother, he was going fast. suddenly he screamed " DUCK " and we both lowered our heads.
after a few yards he stopped and we were horrified to see back,
there was an electric cable, hanging in the middle of the road, from one pole to other across the road...it was so low it could slash our throats...I still thank God for saving us that day.










we could get our throats cut, if he wouldn't notice.

When i was 2 i walked into a street and was hit by a ford galexie 500 going 45. I was thrown some 40 feet out into a field they took me to the hospital and found no injury at all.

When i was 17 i was driving a 62 chevy super sport coupe up a road thru the mountians and there was a wire were they had patched the road and the wire caught on the right front tire. The tire blew out the car went up on the right side of the road and then rolled over on its side and skid on top of a culbert and then took to fight being launched some 70 foot off the road and 90 foot above the tree tops. A truck driver who was coming down the same road said he saw the bottom of the car flip over 3 times and he said we were turning side to side also. Well as we fell back to the earth. it was like the hand of God caught us in mid flight, just before we hit the earth. There were 3 of us in the car we all were unhurt.

When I was in the service a tank was backing up and I was helping to park it in formation and i tripped and fall below the treads and then a tall indian looking guy setting on the tank tread of a parked tank behind me reached down and grabed my parka and pulled me up beside him. I was dead for sure a tank is very large and a the top of a treat is 8 foot high. The math does not add up no human could reach down and pick another person up while setting on a tank tread.

A few years ago i was ran over by a semi i was in a nissan pickup. The ambalance people did not even come to check on me nor the police. The nissan had been hit on all sides I came climbing out on my own.

The list is longer but you get the point he is faithful.

I was riding my new bike but the seat and handlebars hadn't been adjusted for my height so it was far too big for me and I was tentative riding it.

I lived near a big steeeeeeeeeeeep hill and when I began to ride down It I could not reach the brakes and lost control of the bike.

Luckily there were no cars on this road. (Definately a God thing as usually, even at this time of the day, it would have been swarming with cars.)

I was gaining speed as I went down, (and screaming my head off) because I could not stop. The end of the road came and It was long grass which slowed me down, but at the end of this 5m bit of long grass was a two metre drop onto huge rocks. When I came to this drop I flew through the air and landed on these rocks 2 m below me. My bike landed on top of me.

Amazingly, I broke no bones. Also amazingly, I had decided to wear my glasses (which, at that time, I did not have to wear 100% of the time). These glasses broke and there was a huge deep scratch in one of the lenses. If I had not been wearing my glasses I would un doubtedly have been blinded in that eye.

I escaped with a headache and bruises and no bike. If my bike had not been on that angle that it was on I also would have missed the long grass and hit the rocks at a much higher speed.

This accident could have really injured me, but God saved me. I didn't even need to go to the hospital or even get knocked out.

It was late one night and it was raining. The country road i was on was coming to intersect the highway a little up ahead. I knew the road but I didn't see the stop sign until it was almost 10 feet infront of me and I was still going about 40 mph. the truck I was driving had mud tires on it and poor traction, especially in the rain. I tried to stop, but i could see the car driving on the highway was going to hit me if i tried to stop. almost automatically, and without much thinking i punched the gas and sped through the stop sign and across the highway and watched as the family in the car missed my tail end by inches. my truck had a lift on it, therefore if it would have hit me, i would have been broadsided on the driver's side, probably would have lifted up my truck and flipped it several times. not to mention i would have taken the top off of the car and severly injured or even killed the family in the car. thank god that he was riding with me that night.

Absolutely:

I was supposed to visit relatives in a nearby town (30-or-so miles distant) when Hurricane Andrew cut across my state. I had been tracking its progress and allowed myself plenty of time to make the necessary preparations and for safe travel; however, I was unexpectedly delayed.

In retrospect, a series of seemingly insignificant errors left me unaware how much time I'd lost taking care of last-minute details; I got on the road just as the eyewall of the hurricane was entering my county.

Despite the foul weather, I had good cause to not be afraid: I was an exceptionally talented and skilled driver. My car was a 1989 SHO that I'd used during stunt performances and races (I never lost in that car), and it was in perfect condition. I was well rested and alert.

As inconceivable as it might seem, I was before that storm ideologically opposed to the use of factory-installed seat belts in a production automobile.

Six-point racing harnesses were fine, mind you, and I'd given consideration to so equipping the [28.2 mpg at 142+ mph (mpg between fillups @ 388-mile sustained top speed with almost exactly 1,000 pounds of combined initial fuel, people and luggage)] SHO.

However, I couldn't find anyone able to satisfy my quality standards in the "fit and finish" department -- especially without mucking-up the balance of the car, or the inertial characteristics that made it such a joy to drive -- so that modification never got done.

The wind blew me around a little as I worked my way to the Interstate, and it was a bit unsettling. Nevertheless, I'd driven in some incredibly fierce thunderstorms, and this seemed no worse.

I had to cross the stopsign-protected intersection of 2 highways about half a mile before reaching the ramp to the Interstate. I stopped the car about 20 feet short of the intersection, and what seemed like a little voice in my head said something to the effect of "Put on your seatbelt."

There is no way for me to convey just how foreign such a thought was to me: it is the sort of thought at which I could never have independently arrived; yet I seemed alone in the car, and I wasn't listening to the radio (all my energy was focused on driving).

As I pondered the origin of that thought, a gust of wind pushed my car about 2/3 of the way through the intersection, sliding my tires the whole way and prompting me to so increase my pressure against the brake pedal I feared the lever would collapse.

Fortunately, mine seemed to be the only vehicle on the road -- which, although really odd, didn't then strike me as being all that queer.

I didn't need that gust to convince me to put on my seatbelt: the voice had only once softly spoken, and then it remained silent. Because the thought was so profoundly odd, though, I did pause to evaluate whether it was asking me to do anything patently dangerous or harmful -- it was the first time I ever "heard in my head" a voice I associated with a deity.

Shaken more by the "encounter with God in my head" than by the powerful gust, I eased forward and entered the Interstate's on-ramp about 17 mph. Another gust blew against the car, and pushed it sideways towards a curb. I moved to correct the car's path, but my efforts were futile.

I was initially worried my rims would be damaged by the curb, but I was probably going 25+ mph sideways when I hit it. The car bounced over the curb, took out several steel poles and continued sideways down the slope of what amounted to a large triangular bowl bordered on 2 sides by the feeder sections of the on-ramp and on the remaining side by a highway.

Though I was initially worried the car would get stuck at the bottom of that bowl, I was relieved to realize near the bottom that I was moving sideways perhaps near 45 mph.

Through my mind flashed the thought, "Whew! I'm so lucky! I'll slow down as I go uphill, enabling me to simply change the section of the feeder ramp that I was going to use. I'll be back on the road in no time."

That thought was quickly replaced by the realization I was traveling sideways between 75 and 85 mph as the wind continued to push against my car. When I reached the top of the bowl, instead of gently driving onto the paved surface, my car went airborne and never touched the paved surface.

And it was only then, while my car was in the air, that I realized how perilous was my predicament: beyond the narrow (1-lane) section of feeder ramp was a steep slope into a tree-lined valley. If I didn't stop on the gravel shoulder of the feeder, if I followed the trajectory I was on, I'd land about 150 feet down the slope.

It's hard to describe why, but I knew no one would think to look there for me: I'd probably be dead several months before my car was discovered -- and that would have been hard on my family. So, I cried out to God and asked him to save my mortal self (I'd been a Believer since the early 1980s).

And -- just like that -- it was as if a giant hand stopped the car in the air, and set it down on the gravel. The stop was so sudden the "crash sensor" shut off the fuel pump, and the front bumper cover was ripped off the car. I was bruised from where the seatbelts stopped me from flying through the glass, but I was okay.

Yeah, I'm leaving out a LOT, but not because the memory isn't still vivid.

Um....that's just dumb. Your brother saved you by seeing what was right in front of his face. That's like saying God saved me because I hit my brakes when the stoplight turned red. Thank God "god" let me notice that stoplight! Otherwise I would have gotten in an accident!

Did I read that correctly? Your brother screamed, "Duck.!" and you both responded to save yourselves from the danger he saw.... and you thank God for....?... what, exactly?

To answer your question directly: No, God has never intervened in my life, good or bad. I don't think that there is a God; in fact, I'm quite certain of it.

NOW about that cable. What were you and your brother doing that God put that cable right there at that height were it could have cut your throats.

Yep on three occasions.

Once with explosives in my hands that went off. I still have hands. No damage at all. I was still holding a tube with active chemical inside.

No damage to my ears to any major degree, either.
