Ok, so it was my birthday yesterday and I asked my boyfriend to come to the movies with me ( we've only been going out a few weeks ) and he said ok. So when I got to the movies I called him to see where he was and he said he was "grounded". He does this all the time. Is he lying to me for some strange reason? Help???

Why ask us that? Ask him! I notice more and more; especially on this forum; people just do not communicate anymore! Why wonder about anything and stress yourself out?? Tell him how you feel, ask him!

If he was grounded, why didn't he call you and tell you before the movies? Sounds fishy. If he does this all the time, he has no respect for you or your time. Ask him about it and if you don't like the answer, tell him not to worry about meeting you anywhere again and say "Goodbye".

oh yes girl!!!!!!!!!!! hate to break the truth to you but as a former victim and as a daily viewer of the CRIME i must say that jus from reading your explanation one thing popped up in my head "CHEATING" it jus can't be a coincidence that he's grounded / unavailable EVERY TIME you make plans to go out with him and further more girl that was your birthday he should have made the extra effort to behave his *** and not get grounded. as i see it more than three times is way too much times!!

At any stage he could have phoned you.
He might not be right for you.
