Ok so the other night my friend and I met up and had dinner and were going to go to a movie. However, he had to be somewhere else and the movie wouldn't be until late - so he suggested taking me somewhere that he described as "somewhere you would take your boy/girl fried" then he took me to look at christmas lights and when I was talking to him about all the neat places my dad takes me when I go visit him (my dad lives in a big city) my friend right after that took me to a coffee house bought me a hot chocolate and told me that he thought of this when I told him about my dad - then before we split for the night he wanted to make plans or else it would be another two weeks before we see eachother again - I'm confused - does he like me or is he just a nice guy? We are really close friends and I wouldn't want anything to ruin it - but I think I might like him...

There is no such thing as a guy friend for a girl. Ask him if he wants to get into your pants. He will dive in at a moment's notice. Don't kid yourself. You are dense, like most other women. Men don't hang around women to just talk. Of course they want sex. You are just being delusional if you think that he just wants to be a friend.

I totally know what you are saying... This guy and I met at the beginning of summer and since then we have become really good friends (no relationship at all). Lately though, he has been acting really sweet to me (just like how you described). At first I thought that he was just trying to be really nice, but after I thought about it for a while, I figured that not ANY guy would do that for a girl unless he liked her more than just a friend.
Since your friend said that he wanted to make plans again ASAP, I have a stong feeling that he does like you more than a friend. I think that he's just trying to show his affection for you through his actions and not by saying "I Like You". Don't worry aboout anything... you aren't going to ruin your relationship with him at all... Trust Me!

Guys think about sex all the time. I don't know you but assuming he likes you. He LIKES you! There is basically two kinds of women to guys ones he wants to jump and ones he's already jumped. At least until he gets married and matures. If you want to just be friends let him know that. Let him make the first move since you are not sure. Don't want to make a problem where there is none.

I think he really is a gentlemen and does have some deep feelings for you but just like you doesnt want to over step the line fearing how you feel about him so hes being very careful of his approach. He doesnt want to jeopardize the relationship and figured time will tell soon enough. Its great going this route...the anticipation of it all is so exciting.

It could be both, but if you don't want to "ruin" your relationship as friends by telling him your feelings right now, let him drive the train and see where he takes you.He sounds like a very caring person and may be worth the wait.

theirs usually that type of attraction in a kinda sorta way already but asap plans and stuff may not mean that it just might be himself undescisive about it and he isnt wanting and or trying to be like that but its the time when you want to watch how you show yur friendship it can be easy for himself to attract to you

Sounds like he likes you. If he's thinking of things for the two of you to do together and remembering things you tell him, that's a good sign. If you like him, go for it!
