Not all guys are. I actually like girls that know more then me cause then thats less I have to learn. lol.
But most guys are intimidated by smart, strong girls because they feel like less of a man around them. but you cant blame the guys cause we all, people in general, are prideful people about something or another.
Guys like to be made feel like there strong and smart by there woman because, us guys give each other a hard enough time, everyday, all day. When we get around the girl we like, we dont want to have to deal with impressing them or keeping up with them. And we WOULD have to.
You being, I'm assuming, a smart strong willed girl know that you wouldnt want a guy that was dumber then you and was a wuss. You want a guy that you can have a conversation with. And not have to explain every sentence you're saying to this guy whos' too dumb to understand you. And us guys dont want to have everything explained to us. Thats boring on both ends.
But my advice to you is not to worry about it. The type of guy that will make you happy wont be intimadated by smart strong willed girls, because he will be a smart, strong willed guy. You being smart alone will keep dumb boys away from you.
Let the dumb boys have the dumb girls and us smart people can stick together too. That way everyones happy and the human race wont collectivly get dumber. Just the kids of the dumb people who were dumb enough to spread there dumb genes. Bye Now :-)

I wouldn't generally say that men are intimidated by smart,athletic and strong willed girls,maybe your 2 ex's were but most buys are not. Depending on the type of crowd you hang with, a good percentage of dudes just want to get laid alot, regardless of who the girl is. Its not until we get older that we start to value quality over quantity. Your ex's probably figured out how much work they were going to have to put in to have sex with you and just gave up, cause it was too much.

Because the smart strong willed lasses can't be tricked by the lad's simple tactics to court them for less than honorable reasons.

Because they can't handle it.
Some have high egos and prefer females to be in inferior mode. I believe when a guy feels that he has the upperhand he probably feels more dignified as a male.
In cases where a guy is intimidated by a girl who is smart, highly opinionated and agressive for what she wants, usually means that they're not secure with themselves.

A mule might also be described as "strong-willed." Would you want to date one?
The simple fact is, many women tend to use terms like "strong-willed" as euphemisms for "obstinate." Someone who is truly strong does not need to flaunt the fact; they will demonstrate that they are through their actions. Someone who constantly whines about the fact that no one wants to date them because they're too "strong" is only masking their own insecurity and inferiority.
Smart men steer clear.

because these men are insecure and think a strong woman might try to boss them around which I must say is very untrue. Strong woman do respect their man's opinion.

Average int guys are scared that they will be revealed as such. Dumb guys are too stupid to know better, and smart ones are finally happy they can talk to their mate. Since most guys are average, this plays into your perception. Remember, smart is only relative to the average.

i'm not...i know that many may be because they can't get them into bed easily, but any decent guy is looking for smart and strong willed girls.

Many feel controlled, like it was with their moms. Personally, a strong willed and smart girl is often coachable and wants to also be led. It';s a test they play.
