After you go through basic training are you allowed to have your spouse with you during your specific job training? Or do you have to wait until you graduate?

I think if the training is longer than 6 months, she would be allowed to come.

Oh, and I believe BAH starts after basic.

It really depends on how long the training lasts and of course what the training involves. If the training is less than six months the military won't pay for the spouse to move to the area. In many cases it's best to save your money and wait until your spouse goes to his first permanent duty station to join him.

I'm a Navy wife, so I dunno if this will help you or not, but hopefully it will. I think you have to wait until you finish your training, because that's when you're able to get your BAH and live somewhere other than the base. If your spouse is on your orders, you might be able to jump ahead of the line and get her/him an apartment since s/he's on your orders. But for my hubby, he had to finish his A and C schools first before they'd let him live anywhere other than the barracks. Talk to your command and your BAH office to determine what your options are. Good luck!

Have to wait until after tech school unless the school is 20 weeks or more.

after basic you go to tech school. It depends on how long your tech school is. Mine was 6months and my husband moved to TX to be with me. If your tech school is longer than a certain amount of weeks then the AF will pay for them to move.
