ok i'm going to say this because no one ever hears it or they just forget it. it doesn't matter if u've done drugs, had sex with 5,000,000 people, murdered 5,000,000 people, committed ANY crime, used God's name as a curse, had an abortion, whatever! God will forgive you if u believe that Jesus is your savior. then he just wipes the slate clean and u get to start over again.
PS and everyone who says they're proud or happy that they r going to hell don't know what hell is!

You should never take the Lords name in vain. But even I slip From time .Most of the time when I'm working with a hammer a nail and miss the target. Enough of that. There are some that do indeed practice what they preach. But at the same time you have many more whos creed is. Women should not be subjected to extended rape.
I think the question is trying to hint at how Republicans employ people saying Jesus would vote for them.
Also the mass disenfranchising of african americans because they were more likely to vote democrat. Also, how there were only problems with the counting machines in the democrat states.
mmm...daddy, I wanna be president!

The Third Commandment:
Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the
LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
This mean you are not to use God name as a cuss word. However, it also means or use it lightly, or anyway that fails to give it honor!
When a person uses God in a cuss word, you are actually taking his name, and substituting it in place of a four-letter filth word to
express disgust. You are equating God's name with that filth word!
It's call Blaspheme. God is a God that gave you life and you're using his name as a cuss word.
Notice what God say's at the ending of the 3rd Commandment… for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
In Matthew 12:36, Jesus says; But I say unto you, That every idle
word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. Taking the Lord's name in vain, is something, you will one day give and account for!

Forgive me if I am incorrect in assuming you mean to use the phrase G** D*** it. I am assuming you are. I do not use this phrase as I believe it wrong, but I think the bigger meaning of the commandment is to not deface the Lord by your actions. Example, when terrorists committ acts of violence, such as murder and do so in the name of God, that, I believe, is more relevant to the intended meaning. Neither is good, but I think the latter is what it really means. Hope I shed some light on that.

Man, hell is going to be packed out. Oh well, at least Ill be there with all my friends that:
a) took the lords name in vain
b) had sex before they got married (well, maybe only the girls, for boys sex before marriage isnt THAT bad)
c) are gay
d) took drugs
e) had abortions
f) believe in a god that has another name
g) cant be bothered with the churches rhetoric and dogma
oooo, the list could go on.
What I want to know is, if you god is so powerful, why does he need you to sort things out for him? Isnt he powerful enough?

Conservatives are not the only ones who take the name of the Lord in vain. By condemning people they way you are doing, you are also blaspheming the name of God Almighty
