Start with this article, which is a short, easy introduction to fuzzy logic (and which uses the Fuzzy Logic Toolbox, although no code is given):

Here are more on-line references:

If you are interested in books on the subject, then I suggest the following:

Fuzzy Logic:

"The Fuzzy Systems Handbook" by Earl Cox

Neural Networks:

"Neural Networks for Statistical Analysis" by Murray Smith

(Don't let the title fool you: this text is very accessible.)
"Advanced Methods in Neural Computing" by Wasserman

In general, if one is interested in machine learning, I recommend:

"Computer Systems That Learn" by Weiss and Kulikowski

Good luck. My brother got a first in his degree in Computer Science with AI from Birmingham University + an extra national award for his paper.

Unfortunately I don't have his intellect. They were like fusing dna code and blasting it with radiation to advance their AI colony through rapid generation change or something.

Anyway can you please create an AI program which learns rapidly please, and gains intelligence, memory, then self-awareness. I hope you have this breakthough.
