I am a Christian and believe Christ died, was buried and rose again. This is the basic of Christainaity. Now we are divided in that we don't all believe the same way; one would say that we can talk in Tongues, other say we can't. But this doesn't make a Christian wether we do or don't. Penncostal believe in Baptism of the Spirit with the evidents of speaking in tongues. Baptise do not believe in speaking in tongues at all. Catholics believe in like we believe other than they confess to thier preist "The Father" The pray to the catholics that has past on including Mary. Sone Catholics believe in speaking of tongues. Now Mormom believe that Jesus was a prophet and has died and that there has been another prophet. Christian reject this Prophet (Joseph Smith) because he wrote a new book of the bible the book of Mormons. Which Christian do not believe in.

Mormons are a cult. The Mormon religion was founded less than two hundred years ago by a man named Joseph Smith. He claimed to have received a personal visit from God the Father and Jesus Christ and told that all churches and their creeds were an abomination. Joseph set out to impose a brand-new religion that claims to be the “only true church on earth.” The problem with Mormonism is that it contradicts, modifies, and expands on the Bible.

Don't get tie up in denomination. Read the Word for yourself.
Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons believe many things that are in agreement with and/or similar to what the Bible teaches. However, the fact that they deny the deity of Christ and salvation by faith alone qualifies them as a cult

Whoa Nellie! Lots of questions! The differences in Christianty are really all in the way we worship. We all believe in the same God just the way things are done are different or the message that the leaders give is varied. I am not sure exactly but the severity in some Christianity denominations to others in some issues (i.e. women bishops, gay marriage) are shifty too. Its really the details I guess. Sorry I can't be more of a help.

Jesus instituted the Church, no longer church homes. "it particularly is to Peter that he says: 'you're Peter, and upon this rock i'm going to construct my Church' [Matt. sixteen:18]. the place Peter is, there is the Church. And the place the Church, no loss of existence is there, yet existence everlasting" (On Twelve Psalms 40:30 [A.D. 394]). st. Ambrose Is it charitable to declare that people who've separated themselves from the Church are no longer any greater in communion with what the Church teaches and can provide? previous Church Councils have declared this. they have not any valid monks, deacons, or bishops, no valid eucharist, etc...Many gatherings are no longer any distinctive than at stay overall performance arenas. it particularly is authentic christianity? in the event that they do no longer partake interior the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and consume the Euchatist, have they have been given existence in them? (Jn 6:fifty 3) If it particularly is the Protestant church is the authentic church and there can purely be one, then the 1st 1500 years of the Catholic church have been purely a sham, that includes the business enterprise of the Church by using Jesus Christ himself.

The book of Mormon was written by Joseph Smith from revelations he claimed to receive while alone in the mountains.

The Bible is the word of God written down by people He spoke to.

Mormons teach that we were born as spirit children in heaven, received a sinful body, and through goo works can he exalted to godhood.

Christians are given life from God, and are sinful due to our nature, and through Jesus Christs blood are saved, along with believing, and get to be in Heaven WITH God, but do not become gods.

Mormons believe that Jesus was a spirit child resulting from a sexual union of Elohim and Mary, and is the spirit brother of Satan, another spirit child of Elohim.

Jesus is the Son of God, and was born of a Mary who was a virgin. He is God.

Mormons teach that Elohim, or the god of the bible, was a spirit child who inherited a sinful body and was exalted to godhood through good works, is a man in heaven right now, and is only the god of this planet, not all creation.

God is in fact the creator of everything, was never in human form until he sent Jesus, and has and always will be God, and never had to do anything to become God.

Hope this helps!!

Your question is poorly worded but I will try to answer the part that pertains to me.
As a sixth generation Latter-day Saint (Mormon) I will tell you this.
1 We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
2 We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression.
3 We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
4 We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
5 We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
6 We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.
7 We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.
8 We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
9 We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
10 We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.
11 We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
12 We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.
13 We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.
Joseph Smith
In short, we are as Christian as anyone can be. Christ is our Savior, and the only intermediary between God and man. We are indebted to Him for our immortality and our exaltation. He expects from us the sacrifice of a broken heart and a contrite spirit. We believe in loving God with all our heart, might, mind and strength and in loving our neighbor as ourselves. We believe in one Lord, one faith, one baptism and that God has made a plan of salvation for all of His children. We study our scriptures daily, pray regularly for gratitude and for blessings. We have the comfort of the Holy Ghost to reveal truths to us when we need them and to give us the peace promised by Jesus. We believe in and rely on constant and continuing revelation to Christ's authorized representatives, Prophets and Apostles, as well to each and every one of us as sought for and needed.
This is the Church of Jesus Christ restored to the earth in these latter days.
Seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you and ask and it shall be given.
Sincerely, Rex
