Don't tell me in a manger. Was it Bethlehem or Nazareth?

What is the real name now of this chosen place?

No truer words can be said of Christ's birth than that told of his being born in Bethelehem of Judea.....

Joseph and Marry were forced to leave their homes in Nazareth by order of Casesar Augustus to Joseph's ancestors to the house of David. There was the Census of Quirinius......

It was here that the angel visited them when Christ was born.... and the very place where the three "wise" men visited.....

There was a king in those days who sought the baby because he heard that this baby would one day become king..... and so sought his life...... Only, it was well after the baby's years to be a baby any longer.... and this king continued to search for a baby who was already 3 years after the fact!!!

Herod was his name.... and they stayed in Egypt waiting for him to die..... then moved back to Nazareth to escape Herod's son's rule..........

He grew up in the town of Nazareth in Galilee...... it was here that he was baptized and began his ministry....

Nobody's born in a manger!

He was born in Bethlehem, now known as - wait for it!!! -Bethlehem!!

Nazareth was where He grew, up after the family fled to Egypt to escape Herod's soldiers and returned later.

BETHLEHEM

Micah 5:2 - "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
Though you are little among the thousands of Judah,
Yet out of you shall come forth to Me
The One to be Ruler in Israel,
Whose goings forth are from of old,
From everlasting."

Matthew 2:1 - NOW after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem,

I.E. Rice is clearly incorrect concerning the consensus among Christians. We know Jesus was born in Bethlehem. I've never met a Christian who thought otherwise.
