Don't attack me! I'm not 11, actually almost 18.
When I was 11 I met someone a 12 yr old boy through my sister (she was marrying his brother)[we are not related!!!]. Because we were around the same age my sister thought it would be a good idea for us to be friends so we talked online as kids (all because of my sis) before I met him. Then I met him a month or so later because our siblings would be marrying soon. I talked to him online well through teenage yrs, then I didnt have the internet for a while so we didn't talk so much. We sent each other b-day cards online cuz our b-days are like 3 days apart, and we had a lot in common. We hung out (but w/ family of course!) We hardly got to talk face to face because of shyness around the fam, and we are shy already. + my family knows how much I like him. I hardly get to see him now because he's in college and I'm still a senior. We are so compatible, and since I met him I have thought of him every day since, and dream about him.

My religion does not permit 'dating' really (well, people do anyway) and plus I'm not bold enough to even try. I am so scared of telling him this because I will have to see him sometimes at family events (if he doesn't like me, that is). He knows he is good-looking too (well I'm guessing he should), but he's very shy about his intelligence or looks. Now I see him online and I haven't talked to him for so long I'm even shy to IM him! What's wrong w/ me?? I know he's human too, and he'd be glad to talk to me, what am I so scared of? Do you think he could like me too? I know people say that it is impossible to be in love like that, and have felt love at 11, but I've never felt like this between now and then for no one else. I never feel any emotions toward anyone else, no matter how "good-looking"...he is more than that. I don't know, what do you think?

yes it is possible to be in love at that age. & if you are you will know.
if you would die for that person in a second, then you really love them.

I was in love at the age of 9 or 10 with a girl for 3 years we loved each other but never got together, it's been six long years.

It certainly is possible for another person to have a huge impact on you at that age, and considering that you've stayed in contact through the years, it makes complete sense that you'd be interested in finding out if the connection you forged with him at age 11 can "stand" the changes and maturation you've both experienced. Why not send him a card or e-mail and propose a low-key get-together? One warning, though! If you've had a recent relationship that ended badly, give yourself some time, to be fair to you and him.

Well, when I was 11,I really like a guy, named jake, and he was really nice, and heput away my papers and stuff. But zi didn't think I was in love, I just really liked him. When you're almost a teenager, then it's hard determining if you really like someone,or if you were in love, Just go with whateveryour heart tells you, and don't look back.

You are very fortunate to have such pleasant childhood memories. And you've apparantly enjoyed those memories immensely over the years. So do you both still communicate?
It would be interesting to see each other again, to see if his memories are as pleasant and strong as yours.

i don't think that that is possible. I think that loving someone at that age is more common than being in love with someone. Those are two very different types of feelings.
