I have a 2002 dodge neon, roughly 50k miles on it. i have noticed ever since i bought the car, i have moisture issues. every time i go into my car in the morning, the windows are incredibly fogged up, where as the other cars in my drive way have nothing. also, the floor on the back passenger side frequently gets wet, and so does the seat, but i traced that to a bad seal on the rear window. could this seal be causing my cars issues? if so, what can i do to fix it?

I recommend taking it to a mechanic and having it sealed shut. They can spray a high pressure water hose into the corners of the windows to determine where the leak is

Neons have door glass that curves way over into the roof and depend on a rather large rubber seal to seal out the water. This seal if gets older doesn't seal well. Spray the car with a hose and you might well see water drip right past the seal inside the car. Another place though that can cause this as did on one I had is the rear tailight of all things. Leaked into the trunk area past the tailight and ran somehow down the side of the trunk and puddled on the floor on the driver's side carpet. Door gasket though is the most likely cause in your case, since the seat is wet. If you don't use that door much and want to wait to change it put a thick layer of Vaseline on the seal and close the door against it. Old used car lot trick for leaky T-tops. hahaha Works like a charm until the door or t-top is opened again. It won't hurt anything and wipes off later anytime you want. Tell the Dodge dealer you want a rear door body weatherstrip for sealing the window to the upper body. They should be able to get them overnight as most likely not in stock. Chrysler has a great parts distribution network.

nature of the beast I'm afraid. I had a 95 neon did the same thing. The spare tire well used to fill up with water after rainy days, and I used to get frost on the inside of the windshield. Those cars just have a knack for holding water inside and out. You could look into having the weatherstripping replaced depending on how much you are able to spend. I just sort of put up with it in mine. I now have an 05 Neon which seems to have a teeny bit of a fog issue with the windows, but nothing that doesn't clear up with the ol' defrost setting. Unless it's causing a hazard while driving or a really terrible smell, it's probably just more of an annoyance right now. Try getting one of those little tubs they sell that are designed to absorb moisture in basements and such. That may help a bit.

Yes that's the problem, and good luck in getting Dodge to fix it properly. You are better off fixing it yourself. What I did when my hinge dropped in my 1990 Daytona and the window started leaking, I put self sticking weather stripping right on the window seal. No more leaks. Try this first before you spend any money on a seal. Hope this helps.

Yes a bad seal will cause this problem. Go to an auto glass business (look in the yellow pages under auto glass), and have them correct the problem. Usually isn't very expensive, even if they must replace the seal or gasket, and they won't break the glass doing it.

That because the temperature outside your car is extremely low lower then the temperature in your car! that why you got condensation of water vapor on your windscreen and windows.
Try cover your with thicker cover.Keeping air-condition will stop this problem, but you will not be able to start up your car tomorrow? Park your car under shade to keep it away from the cool wind!
