My boyfriend is about to serve one year in prison. Rather than having him be a felon forever I know cops can pull strings if you can be an informant. My question is how do you ask the cops if they can work out a deal? I know I can do two ways: I can buy/sell drugs from someone and have the cops tap me or I can snitch on a person I can't stand who has started moving large amounts of cocaine. I don't need to hear how it's wrong because I don't care! I just need to know how you approach the cops with this information and also I wouldn't want my boyfriend to know. Doing this would save me about $12k on a lawyer for the appeals process. Thanks.

I'm not worried about more trouble. I handle my own. And the person I don't like is not some big time person, just someone who managed to score an awesome hookup on bricks. I know them from daily life and they have no security system or anything fancy. They don't even know how to work a computer. Plus they put spells on people all the time. Without saying what he's in there for, yes he is innocent (everyone says that about everyone but it's true cuz I was there), but a black man from the hood on trial with all white, upper class jurors facing up to 10 years isn't too promising and a plea is the best way out. They don't care WHO gets put in jail just as long as someone does. I carry all the time and I'm not worried about some stupid rebuttal plus I don't live in the area anymore. And this is called what goes around comes around anyway because this person snitched on a lot of other people so they have it coming. If you don't have an answer, shut the hell up.

I really don't see how the two options that you have are going to do anything for him.

Looka-hear cutti! If yo man gets his sentence reduced, Their gona ask questions inside. You better check widim'. I would rather do a year, than one week with ties to a snitch- and dat's real! Stop hating! If this cat you hate has already snitched b-4 and now he's doing gravy, he's probably already in the program you trying to get into. Let yo man do his time right! If you can't do the time, don't do the crime! Good Luck!

A year will go by fast and after he is released their are ways to get the felony amended to a misdemeanor on the other hand if you rat someone out for selling drugs and they pay someone to shot you that can not be amended. The police will not protect you unless you uncover some multi-million dollar operation and then you would be place in federal relocation and never be able to talk to you family again. Please think about this. Their is no future for narks.

being an informant is possible? but do you know the risk of snitching on somebody who is moving large amounts of cocaine? most of the people who are doing this have more surveillance equipment, guns, etc. than the police do. the FBI could protect you if you snitch. but you might need a body guard for the rest of your life. running scared is awful. counter survelience is also expensive? my question is.......is your boyfriend guilty? does he show remorse? mabe you are more sorry for what he has done than he is...

Quit Snitchin!
For real though, you need to have some valuable information, no wait, your B/F needs to have this information. Then he can speak with his lawyer about getting a plea bargin.

Your "boyfriend" is going to jail for ONE year, which is about 7 months. Get over it, and if you want to stay alive and not have Bigger problems in the future, let it go. If you make trouble you will get trouble.

You've already made up your mind as to what you're going to do. So why ask?
I'm sure you'll get your chance to say something at the right time.
