What? Credit cards are unsecured loans. How can they be filing liens on your property?

I'd recommend getting to a reputable credit counselor right away.

Depending on what State you live in credit card debt has a statute of limitations and most are from 3 to 5 years.

You can look up the statue of limitations for your State on line.

I would file bankruptcy. And I would get a job. Why aren't you working? If you are able to work you should not depend on public assistance. I am not trying to be insensitive but if you can work you should!

They can do that because they can not garnish any wages received from the government.
