Somewhere in Laguna Beach where the water is beautiful. Maybe you could take her for a walk on the beach right before sunset & then get down on your knee right as the sun is going down. You could have a little picnic set up on the beach too with a bottle of Champagne, two glasses, & some dessert or some berries & cream or something like that ready to celebrate. If she says "no" then just drink the whole bottle yourself & you'll feel better, for an hour or so anyways. j/k. Good Luck.

Catalina Island, Laguna Beach, on a short cruise
at the mall, at the park, at your favorite restaurant

-- or mine
Conca D'ora's Italian, in Anaheim, maybe it was on Chapman, in Orange? (Don't know if it is still there)

At the lounge at the top of the Disneyland Hotel, on a bus ride, San Diego Zoo, Las Vegas

At Church -- Take her to a chapel

Las Brisas in Laguna Beach at sunset, is beautiful. That is where my husband proposed to me. Or, Santa Barbara, it's beautiful, and there are so many nice restaurants and vineyards (try Sunstone, it's quaint and romantic)

Find a hill you can drive up with a view of downtown LA. Time it right (like, drive up there beforehand to see how long it takes) so you ask her sometime while it's still faintly light out, but all the city lights are on.
I'm sure she will love it.

Wishing you two the best of luck!!! ;)

Tarpits, Labrea....it's real appropriate, because you're both getting sucked into a fine mess.
