Because Guiness is meant to be poured out of the can so that the head on the beer can be formed properly. It allows the beer to set up properly.

This is a good question. I know that I prefer to drink Guinness out of a glass than out of a can. It is just preference or that is the way it is drank where it originated. I also like it at room temperature.

I guess i'm not a person bcs I drink it from the bottle or can? Hmm.. anyway, ppl say beer/wine tastes cleaner from a glass than from the original container it was marinating in. Personally, I think that's hogwash. I taste the same thing from a can or bottle. Pretentious Pri**s!!

Anyone that drinks Guinness from a can will go to "Beer Hell" and have to spend eternity drinking domestic crap like Coors and Budweiser. It's even rumored that Schlitz beer is still "brewed" in "Beer Hell".

I've seen people drink it out of the can and bottle. Why do people drink water from the glass?

Because it is preferably served from tap at (I forgot the temperature) If you drink it from a can you are a wannabe Guiness poser and not a true lover.

Because of the head. Which should be thick enough to float a nickel on, I believe.
