defining the relationship is when a boy sits a girl down and explains to her how he feels.
example number one: a girl and a boy have been hanging out a lot lately, but there is no romantic interest. the boy gently explains to the girl that hes really enjoying the friendship but has no intention of dating her.
example number 2: a girl and a boy have been on about 3 dates. the boy explains to the girl his intentions, whether or not he considers them to be dating or boyfriend/girlfriend or whatever.

You stupid biatches over-analyze and make everything a complicated situation. Do not ask where this relationship is going. He will tell you when he is ready. If he does not say anything to you, he is not ready. Keep your mouth shut and listen to him every once in a while. Maybe you'll learn something.
If you are not happy, move on. There are plenty of other guys, and the more time you waste with the slacker, the less chance you have of bagging a good man. Time's-a-tickin'. Tick tock tick tock.
