No where in the Bible did it ever say, we need to celebrate that day. Do you know who when was it proclaimed and who proclaimed that Christmas is official holiday?

Then why I never read that any Apostle of Christ celebrated Christmas then?

Do you know it is a pagan tradition, If families really love one another then they would not spend one day
at the end of the year to be together. Christ did not command us to celebrate his birthday. If Jesus knew that people were spending heaps of money on gigantic feasts and people around the world are dying from starvation then I think he would be very sad and angry.

Sir, about 40 years after Christ rose into heaven, Christianity began to divide along the lines of those that believed Christ was God only, those that believed He was only a prophet and those that believed Him to have both Human and Divine Nature (God and man).

Too, the Genitals that said the wanted to be Christians and that they believed in Christ, still continue to celebrate their GODS.

To end the bickering and address the issues of would-be Christians (Genitals celebrating lunar Gods), The church instituted the celebration of Christs Birthday. Birthday meaning being born, therefore having a human nature as well as having a Divine nature. The 25th so that the Gentiles would be celebrating Christs birthday and not the lunar goods, there by, pulling the Christians together rather than splintering the faith.

Christs birth day was celebrated from the beginning of His coming
down from heaven, to be born in a manger. Did not the Wise men celebrate His birth, did they not give Gifts?

While these and so many other issues always come forth, keep in mind that NOTHING is going to get you into the Kingdom except
Loving GOD with your total being, accepting Christ as your savior and following His two Commands, love one another as He has loved us and to receive Holy Communion!

To love is to fill to the letter of the law the, Ten Commandments!

And to Love GOD is the First of these.

In very, very layman terms and a lot of paraphrasing, it is my understanding that Jesus was actually born in the Spring, April 7th or 14th. The Pegan's celebrated a huge holiday around the 25th of December where they partied and gave gifts and all sorts of things.
The Christians wanted the Pagan's to 'join their group' however, the Pagan's were reluctant, so the Christians said that they would move the celebration of the birth of Christ to the time of the Pagan holiday in December and it would be a holiday for all.

I can't quote any script or book but through reading and listening to many people, this is the short version of it. I could be very, very wrong and am very willing to listen to others 'in the know' but htis is what I've learned over the years.

When the Christians were converting people in Europe they adopted the pagan traditions of the people into Christianity so that they wouldn't lose followers. Look up "Christmas" in an old encyclodpedia and it'll give you the history of Christmas.

You're right, no where in the bible does it say to celebrate Jesus's birth, only that is happened, and celebrating birthdays is a pagan custom. (right down to the birthday cake and blowing out the candles)

Take a religion class if you get a chance, it is pretty interesting!

The tradition of Christmas originated from the Roman people.
They made a worship to their idols on Dec 25 every year before the birth of Jesus. The king of Roman wanted all christians also celebrating it so the king told that Dec 25 was the birth of Jesus
while in fact no one knew the exact date of his birthday

I am a Christain and believe that it is ok to celebrate the birth of Christ just as I do my own. We look to the navity as other look to Santa Claus and other pagan Gods. Christmas is here to stay we my well us it to are avantage to win the more to Christ. I know tradition is not good. But what does it hurt to give a few gifts to a few friends and family. I believe if we keep Christ in Christmas we can share the good news of our savior love.
