My sister is a Nun and I take offence in calling them stupid.They are dedicated to their work and follow Jesus.

A lot of nuns these days enter a religious community because their kids have all grown up, they are widowed, and they want to serve people and God at the same time.
Some work in missions, feeding starving people, teaching in schools in third world countries. Some are nurses, doctors, and social workers. Some work on the streets offering counselling to hookers and drug addicts. Since 26% of the world's AIDS clinics are run by the Catholic Church, you would find a lot of nuns there too.
And some, not many, spend their lives praying for lost souls who think good is evil, and evil is good.

I work at a convent and I take great offense at your "question".
Working at a convent, 99% of the people I see every day are nuns and other religious people and I know for a fact that these are some of the most intelligent people you could ever know. Most have at least a Masters degree and some have a Doctorate, but ALL have at least a Bachelors and years of training as counselors and therapists. A good portion are/were teachers, nurses and researchers.
Perhaps it is time you took a little time to get to know someone before you start the name calling. No matter how poorly you treat these women, I guarantee you one thing - NONE of them would consider talking about you this way.

It is a choice to serve, to try and make a difference, to sacrifice mundane things for spiritual. I really doubt that you will ever find a "stupid" nun. Actually, I don't think there are any retarded people that are "stupid". Nice that you capitalized Nuns. Wonder what Freud would think of that?

pleeezz! stop with the sanctimonious bull crap. I have met some of meaneast nuns around they are going to rot in h--! They were so deprived from some of lifes goodies that they feel hateful, Not all nuns are this way.
