Jesus said in the Beatitudes "Blessed are the Poor in Spirit..for yours is the kingdom of God"

Now He did NOT say : Blessed are you "Spiritually Dead"

But then again, He also said: " Woe to you BLiND Pharisees!"

Isn't it true that we are all "spiritually dead" because all have sinned and fell short of God's glory, yet when He came into the world, it is true that He came for the sinners to teach them repentance...yet He did not bless the spiritually dead, but the spiritually poor...why do you think is this?

Those who are poor in spirit recognises the poverty of their spirits that need the in-filling of God's words into their spirits so that they are so full of living water that rivers of living water will flow out of their bellies.
The spirtually dead are those unbelievers whose spirits are not alive because the Holy Spirit does not live in them to make their spirits alive to God..
The spiritually blind are those who do not have spiritual sensitivity or discernment and are oblivious to things of the spirit

No it means…

Blessed are the Poor, in Spirit.

Geddit? The *poor people* are blessed IN spirit.

It’s a bad translation. Hey I’m a freaking heretic and I don’t believe in your god and still I get it.

YES!!!!!
this is why

(1) I define God to be X.
(2) Since I can conceive of X, X must exist.
